We were there in late May, before the high season.
We were there in late May, before the high season. The beach clubs were closed, the public beaches were dirty, and we are sure of at least one location where we had to pay elevated prices after we were identified as tourists (we paid less before, at the same location). We visited many clubs and restaurants at times when they should have been open according to their own Google Maps entry, but when we walked on the property and asked about it, they were not only closed, but we were treated as if we were breaking in. They seemed offended and annoyed at us, for asking about their opening times. Barletta is a delightful city to visit.
Barletta is a delightful city to visit. It was very easy to walk the neighborhoods and explore its history. It has a beautiful Art Gallery showing the work of the Impressionist Artist Giuseppe De Nittis who was born in Barletta in 1846. The local Farmer's Market was fun to visit and pick up a wonderful selection of local vegetables, fruits and fish. The local cuisine in the many restaurants to choose from is a great way to explore the specialties of the region. It is a good base to visit some of the beautiful seaside villages close by such as Bisceglie and Trani. And the people are very friendly and welcoming.Guest review byMariaUnited States - 10.0

It’s great near everything, restaurants, bars, historic center and the beach only 9 min walking. The personal is so kind and marvelous they are always preoccupied for you and your needs. They have their own bar-restaurant where the people that work there are majestic and treat me like family by the way the food it’s great. The rooms are great, clean, cozy and very secure.
