Bitonto is the town of my ancestors. It was my first time in Italy, and I went to Bitonto to do research on my family. it’s a beautiful town with kind people, excellent food and historic buildings and churches. Not as full of tourists as Lecce and other popular tourist destinations. Pleasant architecture, not quite as rococo as Lecce. More of a local feel. At a first sight it is nothing more than a city near airport, where you sleep last night before your flight departs.
