I liked Villa because it has a story. The grounds of the villa are beautiful and large. The apartment is tidy, but the showers could be a bit more well maintained. But the kitchen and the large double fridge were very suitable for our family of 4. Loreno was very attentive, thank you! Definitely recommended!!!

great place to stay for a short trip to Pisa. You can park your car next at public parking next to hotel. Rooms are clean. it takes just 15 minutes to Leaning Towel and 5 minutes to central street for shopping. Very kind and attentive host. In the morning we had amazing coffee and croissants in the hotel’s garden.

The village festival was a nice surprise but after that the village is quiet and for example in the evening there are not many open places to eat. We found two but couldn't get in because they were full.

Calci is quite peaceful with charming little details.

Calci is quite peaceful with charming little details. There's a great gelateria opposite the Coop supermarket. The Natural History Museum is a gem! The old town is fairly compact, and the restaurant opening times are rather confusing. It's an authentic little town near Pisa. Next time, we'd prefer one week instead of two.

A pleasant village in the hills.

A pleasant village in the hills. Beautiful scenery and tranquility. A real village life exists. Getting around by public transport is very difficult. Few buses. No train. The network only starts from Pisa. Having a car is preferable.

Everything in the surrounding area is great.

Everything in the surrounding area is great. The avenues and the landscape in the immediate vicinity are very beautiful. It's a superb base for visiting Pisa, Lucca, and also Volterra. TIP: At night, drive through the town and up the mountain behind it, then take in one of the viewpoints to admire the lights of the towns and streets stretching all the way to the sea.

The reason for our trip was to visit the Certosa di Calci: it wasn't the easiest thing (you need to book in advance, the opening hours are limited, and the number of visitors allowed is limited), but the guided tour exceeded our expectations. The complex is currently undergoing renovations, but it fully reveals its former magnificence!

We spent a wonderful seven days Easter vacation at Podere del Pari in Calci, Pisa region, a beautiful place to stay for a trip in Toscana. Amazing location on full green olive trees hills, very warm and attentive hosts, very clean and well equipped location, very good prices, excellent olive oil to taste and to buy. We loved it!
