Capri is a beautiful island, but mass tourism means that you may not enjoy your stay as you would have liked, specially after paying the money to be there (which is not cheap!). Beaches are beautiful but overcrowded, buses services are good but also overcrowded and you may wait a lot to take a bus (or taxi). Be careful with the roads, do not take them by foot, think it's dangerous so go by bus or taxi up to Capri. I saw a woman falling and getting hurt. Be careful. Another thing is that there is no luggage storage at the port (or in the island) that allow you to leave your stuff overnight. They are for a few hours only. This was very bad for us as we ended up taking our heavy suitcase to our B&B and it was difficult. If we had known that the luggage storage facilities were so basic, we would have avoid the island completely. Shocking, considering the money that the council get from tourist. They should be treated better! A piece of advice for anyone wanting to take the ferry to/from the islands, if you have time to organise yourself, then go first to the port and ask carefully where to buy tickets and where to get them (specially in Naples!), to avoid what happened to us, that we ended up going from one place to another under a hot sun, carrying a suitcase. That was not enjoyable!. Also, don't arrive too early for the ferry, it's not worth it, the first customers are those who end up being sent from one place to anohter (under the sun), are those who end up paying the suitcase fee and those who end up waiting in the sun longer. Better to arrive 5-10 minutes before the time (if you already have a ticket). Think that the place they told you to wait for the ferry may change last minute. Definitely do not need more than 2 days. Beach club was great. Have to visit ani Capri and take the tram ride up the mountain beautiful !awesome restaurants and shopping. If love water and beach stay at the port. If you are more about site seeing and shopping stay in the mountains. Definitely would have liked to have had a pool at the hotel down at the port. Capri is a dream that thousands are clambering to visit. It's touristy and commercialised and crazy expensive. Fine if that's what you like, but too hot, busy and contrived for me. Not a bad place, it's just not what I personally like I loved where our hotel was situated as it's easy access. Also a very authentic little hotel. Capri in summer is crowded and expensive but it is also such a pleasure to be here. Getting around can be a bit difficult but if you are not in a hurry, the funicular and buses are convenient and efficient. Taxis are very expensive, however it does save walking up very steep hills where there is not much room for pedestrians and waiting in long bus lines, in the heat. Capri is such a pleasure if you plan well, do loads of research, book way in advance to your favourite places and activities.Guest review byJenny - 6.0

It was my first time in Capri, and the hotel manager Ettore was incredibly helpful with suggestions of activities and directions. He made my entire stay easy! The hotel is located a short walk into the main town, and further enough away you don't have to worry about the hustle and bustle. You can enjoy breakfast with a view of the water and gardens.
