Was great to find free parking at the railway station as an excellent service into Cagliari which avoided having to try and park in the city. Also direct service to and from the Cagliari Elmas Airport. Quiet town with amazing mining history and museum plus few good stores. Mining center is well worth a visit. The owner and his family went above and beyond - transporting me to the hospital and supermarket, helping me communicate with the doctors and generally making me feel welcome and cared for.They have hearts of gold. The hotel itself is full of character - with lots of fascinating objects to discover. The whole place has a rustic charm. Lovely en suite room with patio set on balcony. Very accommodating for our early start on our first day, arranging a lovely early breakfast. Very convenient to visit Nebida, Masua and Porto Flavia as well as being able to view the Pan di Zucchero. All the things you need, including a good breakfast. We walked around the whole village without problem. This little village has a lot to offer, we visited the local history department at the Museo di Carbone and recommend a visit there to anyone interested in the history of Carbonia!
