It is great for a family holdiay. We stayed at Casamassima as a base and drove to different places in Puglia each day. It takes us 20 mins driving to Bari (about an hour to Matera, 40 mins to Alberobello and also 40 mins to Polignano....). Overall, if you have a car, the location is great.
