Everything is very well equipped and the hosts care about everything really well. Thank you for this great experience. The location in Castelmola was a beautifully located collection of rooms. Our flight was delayed so we arrived late and the host, Chiara, was absolutely fantastic. Videos of the last stages of the drive into the village and step by step photos of every street and turn, the keys, the room. etc. You could not ask for a more helpful host, who then added more, with restaurant recommendations and discount notes. Thank you.

Castel Mola is a picturesque hilltop town above Taormina. There is a limited bus service but I would not recommend a car. There are lots of steps and narrow streets. The restaurants were good value. The church is interesting and there are great views of Etna.

Quaint town set on the top of a hill - quite amazing to visit! Fantastic views of Mt Etna and surrounds. Many cute restaurants and terraces. If you have the opportunity to stay for dinner the town has a different feel in the evening once the day trippers has have left. The famous Bar Turrisi is fantastic for drinks, dinner or Gelato.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village. Nice hike/walk down to Taormina or easy bus if you wish. Great place to relax. I would worry about it being even more overrun with tourists in peak season but it makes sense why. If you drive by car and are not comfortable with small, steep roads - take some anxiety meds and take your time!

Quiet and quaint village.

Quiet and quaint village. The views are amazing, there are the basic shops like pharmacy and grocer in case you need something. The only downside is the frequency of the busses out of Castelmola. The first one is about 6.30am-7am to go to Taormina, and then the next one is 10am. Most shops open around 10am, except for the cafe in the piazza and the pharmacy, which open earlier. You can get anywhere in Castelmola on foot. There is also il sentiero dei Saraceni which takes you on foot to Taormina. It is a steep walk down so prepare comfortable shoes if you plan on taking this walk.

Amazing place to stay.

Amazing place to stay. We went to Taormina for the day and enjoyed Castelmola during the evenings. Amazing view of the city and Mt Etna from the castle. It was easy to get to Taormina and we used both walking paths to get upto Castelmola, we enjoyed both paths equally. Loads of good shops/restaurants in the area too. Pizzeria Nina for pizza was amazing.

Surrounded by nature, with an incredible view of Castelmola and Taormina. It is remote, with the mentioned rooster near by, with its hairpin bends and unforgettable scenery, made it our best choice to close the two weeks journey in Sicily. Simple, helpful and kindest owners I met in a long time. Managed to visit from here Etna, Alcantara Gorge, Castelmola, Taormina and several beaches.

The location, the location, the location. We had the first floor apartment which is a bit small, but the balcony makes it all up for that. Alberto was an excellent host. And we loved being in Castelmola, liked it much better than the overcrowded Taormina.
