A lovely small hotel with very good facilities, an excellent breakfast and only a few yards from the beach. The staff were super friendly and helpful and every question asked was answered in full or researched online to find out! The town is a ten minute walk away, is very easy to get around and has lots of options for eating out. It's worth taking a walk up to the old town for the ambience and views. We only stayed 1 night but as we were getting a late flight from Pisa were able to leave our car in the hotel car park and use their bikes to cycle to the local nature reserve which was an enjoyable addition to our time in Castiglione Della Pescia! Would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Perla.

This is a fantastic hotel and we had a perfect holiday here. We have been going to Castiglione della Pescaia for many years but this was our first time staying in this hotel. The Lucerna is gorgeously-decorated, with attractive artworks. Our room was just the right size, perfectly equipped and with a super patio. The breakfast was excellent, and we ate ours in the lovely courtyard with Pomelo and lime trees. Heavenly! And of course, the staff were friendly and helpful. It is centrally situated opposite our favourite café - Mario's, and is right next to the medieval town. The beach is a short/medium walk across the canal bridge. We will be going back here.

The staff is really nice and helpful at all times! And the location is just the best. In a few minutes you are at the beach or right in Castiglione. The private parking really came in handy for us, since we traveled there by car. The room itself was quite spacious, we also had access to a balcony! Also, our room was super clean!

The hotel is located in a residential area about 300 meters from beaches and perhaps a kilometer from the historical center of town. It is quiet. There is a decent-sized pool in an ample garden shaded with lime trees, and it is open to guests 24-7. The front of the hotel is a shaded veranda with lots of lounge chairs. I had supper every night at the hotel — a simple supper of one main course, dessert, water and the coperto; one night, orata al forno, one night, maremmano pasta served with ragù sauce, one night, a delicious bowl of velvety potato onion soup with croutons. Each room has a little balcony. Bikes are available for the guests’ use. The hotel is family-run and very welcoming. I look forward to returning there many times.

    Quaint little town with so much to offer!

    Quaint little town with so much to offer! Relaxing holiday vibe, with an amazing shoreline and excellent restaurants both on the promenade and in the old town centre. Ideal for adults and families with babies and tiny toddlers. Not recommended for teenagers unless they are happy to just swim, cycle and read quietly under an umbrella. One can explore the other bays in the vicinity, but I would recommend you just park your car and leave it there throughout your stay.

    Nice historical centre, however the best view is from the road. The are bars and restaurants in the downtown, direct access to the beach. Just around a corner there was an amazing Orbetello nature reserve which will be interesting for birdwatchers. Dozens of flamingoes even in May.

    This felt like a hotel with remaining covid caused issues - under staffed ( i.e pool furniture not ready in the mornings / pool bar closed ) slow service etc I am sure that it will return to its former glory but some areas need some updating / redecoration and staff Also the hotel should mention if they are putting you in the annexe which is across a not very pleasant car park Overall the hotel has a wonderful setting but needs a little work

    We chose the hotel for the fact they cater for celiacs (we found it via the AIC app). The breakfast was very good with packaged glutine free options, plus a toaster set aside with glutine free bread as well as fruit, yoghurt, scrambled eggs etc being available. We were very pleasantly surprised to find that our second morning a freshly baked chocolate cake had been made for us! We had half board and the food was excellent, with plenty of choice for gluten free options. The location was very convenient and staff very helpful.

    The apartment and the whole city was simply amazing! Great location, 10 minute walk to the centre, the free beaches were about 2km far but it was a nice walk through a different part of town so we didnt mind the distance. The owner was very nice, always replied quickly to any questions. We had a great time in Castiglione!
