We really liked Cattolica.
We really liked Cattolica. It offers plenty of entertainment options, the beach is clean, and you can visit several other cities in near proximity (and the Republic of San Marino). The free, public beach in Cattolica is quite small and uninspiring. The rest is covered with private resorts that offer sunbeds and umbrellas at pretty high prices. It was still quiet when we arrived on 24th May but was definitely more full of excited Italians at the end of the week! There didn’t see to be many buses that you could just hop on to go to other areas. The local markets are great. Eating out was hit and miss, I’m afraid we did not have one good meal out and the food we had was not good value. Cattolica is a great place to come and enjoy the quiet life, have walks on the beach, and just enjoy the amazing weather and people. I think during the peak season,n it is very crowded, so I would recommend getting there before or after the peak season. long sandy beach, full of services , restaurants, facility ideal for family with small children. Walkable town center, flat surface adaptable also for disabled people. Multiple fun parks, beautiful town nearby for visit and have fun for adult/teen. My first visit to Cattolica was in the mid 80s and it has remained a pleasant, safe family resort with a fabulous well maintained beach. We tend to go in June so the beach is not at full throttle - I know in high season it gets very crowded but I can only speak as I find. The promenade has been upgraded since we were last here which was before the pandemic. It used to be mostly decking but is now paved and is much cleaner. There are lots of good restaurants - fresh fish is particularly excellent as it's probably been caught a matter of hours before you eat it! Cattolica still seems to have a vibrant harbour.Guest review byJohnson

We also appretiated that coffee was not made in automatic machines but at the bar with a proper coffee machine and served at the table (thank you Luca :). Room was super nice, clean and comfortable with plenty of closet space. Beside the fridge we also appretiated very much that the room had microwave.
