first of all the location is amazing and facing beautiful Tuscany ! The owner of the ale Vecchie Cantine is very welcoming and nice ! staff is helpful and polite ! the whole experience was excellent . as a family of 5 we had a great time ! loved the food in the restaurant as well, was very delicious; the prices were reasonable! recommend it to people who value cozy , peaceful vacation experience!

Great location in a tiny friendly village in the heart of Tuscany. The apartman is really authentic itself in a building which was built more hundred years ago, just beside an authentic church which was built even earlier. The accomodation is well equiped, clean, the host is super friendly and helpful. In the small village you can find mini market with fresh Italian food, good pizzeria, bar, wine tasting program and a high quality italian restaurant as well. You can reach every historic town in Tuscany within an hour via the beautiful landspace. So I can recommend if you want to travel to the beautilful Tuscany, while you want to have a peacful, authentic, clean and cosy accomodation.

What we like about the accommodations was how clean and comfortable the house was. It is an old Tuscan style house that was used for preparing and processing (pressing) olives to gain their oil. The owner went to great lengths to refurbish and modernize the entire house with a touch of class and interior decoration that I have not seeing yet.

Amazing flat in Chianni. The beds we were so comfortable I overslept every day. Roberta and her lovely father were amazing hosts and helped me out when my hire car developed a problem. Roberta checked in with me and was a great host.

The hotel has plenty of old world charm, perched in the centre of a lovely little town. We loved it here! The pool is beautiful and clean, and was the perfect place to relax in the hot afternoons. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was the perfect start to our days. We loved dinner at the restaurant downstairs, and listening to music in the Piazza. We didn’t want to leave!

Very lovely apartment with great attention to detail. All amenities provided, even a coffee corner with snacks for breakfast and basic cooking ingredients if we had needed it. Lovely village and extremely kind host. Francesca is very generous and helpful. A lot of great info on things to discover in the region is provided. Very comfortable apartment. Highly recommended!

The apartment was very nice and really next to the city centre. It was super well decorated and it was super spacious. There were two rooms in the same apartment which makes it easier for groups of friends travelling. Owner was very helpful also with recommendations around.

Perfect Tuscan village, away from the busy tourist areas, has everything you need, Pizza, Wine and Gelato :), Bar Centrale was a great local Bar, serving drinks and Gelato, Anna's Bar, serves good Italian style meals, including wood fired pizza's, The Bistro is very well priced with good food and service. The village has a Bakery, a Pasta shop (made on site) a Mini-mart grocer, a Chemist several choices of restaurants. You can live like a local here.

If you visit Chianni, make sure to come by car - the bus...

If you visit Chianni, make sure to come by car - the bus transportation was not that trustworthy (we tried taking the early morning ride twice and it had some problems, the bus never arrived - we saw the bus from the car so it is a valid bus, it just had problems). If you go into the nearest town, Pontedera, you can easily reach bigger cities by train - trains are great in Italy, you can go to Livorno, Pisa, Florence, etc. In Chianni, there are some shops you can buy local foods (a mini market in the middle of the town), also some bars, bistros and restaurants, we visited the one named Le Vecchie Cantine, and although they have a short menu, the foods were incredible (try the Zuppa Toscana or the pasta with the typical Tuscan sauce). There were many options for vegetarians (I think you can even ask for vegan versions, but the Zuppa (soup) eg. is vegan in itself), and also we could eat gluten free pasta, they were really prepared. The staff was super kind too (it worth to book a table in advance when you walk by to make sure you have space, especially if you're a family of 4-5). Chianni is a typical Tuscan town, with beautiful houses, and small streets - wear something comfy as it's a town in a hillside, you can walk around by foot without a problem but there is a bit of a level difference :) I'd recommend to anyone, really, to families, to couples, to single travellers, it's a place worth visiting!

The apartment was very clean and good equipped - dishwasher, wash machine, dryer, everything what needed in the kitchen. The swimming pool was perfect place for our kids. Chianni is nice place for a peaceful holiday. Paolo is very nice host.

The photos don't do this house justice. It was beautiful really comfortable & spacious. It is right beside a fabulous restaurant & easy walking distance to Chianni day or night as there is street lighting between the villages.
