The location of Casino Pragatto Hills is perfect for a stay...
The location of Casino Pragatto Hills is perfect for a stay just outside Crespellano. The train links to Bologna are regular and straightforward, only about 35 minutes travel. There are some great restaurants around Crespellano and two big supermarkets if you want any provisions. We were lucky that our hosts at Casino Pragatto Hills made restaurant reservations. Our meal at Madia Cucina e Natura was memorable, such a very special place with attentive and informative staff. Their seasonal menu and quality of the produce prepared by the chefs was creative and delicious. Crespellano makes for a great base to visit the region including Parma, Modena and Lamborghini factory. Local vineyards also offer tours and tastings with Orsi Vineyard about 4km from Crespellano. It is in the middle of an industrial area, nothing fancy, but if you want to meet genuine, kind people who will help you with anything, this is the place. The breakfast croissants and coffee were great, the beds were very comfortable and everything was were clean and taken care of. And very affordable.
