Dimora del Duomo is simply unforgettable! The location, right next to the cathedral with breathtaking valley views, is spectacular. The rooms feel like a historic palace, spacious, elegant, and full of charm. Breakfast was a dream, the best we had in Sicily, beautifully served with delicious local products. The hosts, Pamela and Giuseppe, welcome you like lifelong friends: warm, attentive, and full of stories and local insights that make you feel part of the place. Enna itself is a hidden gem in Sicily’s center, with treasures like La Rocca di Cerere just a short walk away. A stay here is a highlight of any trip to Sicily! Grazie mille, Pamela & Giuseppe!

Our original choice of hotel decided to cancel our booking so this was the alternative. To be honest we weren't expecting very much but the hotel was really good. The room was large with a European style king size bed; there was a safe; the bathroom was efficient and, unusually for most hotels, an outside window. Breakfast was great. The view of the lake an unexpected bonus. And to top it, the price was very reasonable. It was too early in the year to use the pool but it looks beautiful.

I couldn’t speak a single word of Italian, but the owner’s parents welcomed me full heartedly. On arrival, they provided me with free beverages and snacks. The next day, they were kind enough to take me to the train station by their own car (free of charge). The facilities were all crean and the room was extremely well decorated. I can rate it ten out of ten with all honesty.

The room was very spacious, downstairs was a kitchen we could use. The host was very helpful and flexible about the time of our arrival. He recommended us a good mechanic as we had some problems with the rented car. You can park the car for free infront of the apartment. We got delicious snacks, fruit, coffee, tea and water.

Excellent host - Valeria was so kind and helpful. We arrived in a storm and she assisted our arrival to the apartment. The apartment was spotless and our beds were made the next day! Lovely to have an extra shared sitting room. Very good heating ( radiators and air heater) that was needed on that stormy night. Great location. Luigi kindly recommended local restaurants.

Velvendere square is 10minutes from bus stop and 20min from bus station. At Vittorio Emanuele Square There is a restaurant Sciabbè with amazing view to valley and Calascibetta, its entrance is located in a narrow alley next to the sanctuary of the temple, that is opened from noon.

    Enna is a beautiful and historic city, in a spectacular hilltop location with stunning views. We found it a very friendly town, with very few tourists in March. It can be very cold even then, when windy, so pack warm clothes. There are many lovely old buildings in the town, and it is a short drive to other places such as the fabulous Roman villa of Villa Romani Casale.

    We only stayed one night a hotel Francesca, the host was so very friendly and really helpful, the room was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed, we didn’t stay long enough to explore the local area, the hotel was well maintained and had a nice outlook, we wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore.

    Travellers visiting the centre of Sicily can spend an interesting day in Enna Alta. There are some wonderful panoramic views and the town has an interesting cathedral. I stayed in a very good B&B and there are good restaurants.

    Worth the bus journey. The views from Enna are spectacular. We had a beautiful meal at Il Mito di Kore on the recommendation of our hosts. We saw the cathedral and walked as far as the castle which was closed for renovation.

    Enna is wonderful and cooler than other parts of Sicily...

    Enna is wonderful and cooler than other parts of Sicily because it's so high up. It is not as touristy as, say, Agrigento, so you get a better sense of actual Sicilian life. There is an amazing cemetery, the size of an entire town, a little gem of an archaeology museum, a geological park that is the supposed site of the rape of Persephone (there is evidence that this was an indigenous myth adopted by the Greeks), lots of excellent walking opportunities, and a wonderful literary cafe, Al Kenisa, in an old church with a catacomb you can visit as you have your Aperol Spritz (just mind the stairs!). Another wonderful place for an aperitivo, Bar Delizia, on the square in front of the Duomo. They serve incredible aroncini. Finally: Avoid it in the summer. Even here it's broiling in late June, July and August. April or October would be the perfect time to visit Sicily.

    Sicily Rooms Enna was renovated five years ago and the room was typical hostel room with Ikea bed and other stuff aswell. Old gentleman welcomed us and was very social and helpful. Property is easy to reach by car and parking is possible on the street in the front of hostel.
