Everything about this hotel/apartment is fabulous. Very smart, clean, new and a treat to have a lift!!!!. We had a room at the front with sea view. It was beautiful. When we arrived the room was very hot and the aircon was only giving heat but Lucia offered to turn on the aircon for us. Shower is very good and the bed super comfy 😀. Thank you Lucia for all your kindness and help and especially with arranging taxi/train etc 🥰

This was a good definition of experience exceeding expectations. It's really a great hotel. The lady at the reception was super nice and friendly. She offered me a cup of coffee upon arrival, which was very thoughtful given my early flight. I ordered a room with 2 separate beds. But upon learning I'll be staying with my wife she offered to change the room for a bigger one with a big comfy bed. No extra charge! The room was very clean and spacious. There's a TV, a small fridge, and kettle. There's also a common kitchen you can use. A couple of croissants were waiting for us inside the room as well. Also, there's a huge free parking. Upon arrival you should simply ask the receptionist to guide you in.

We really wanted to see the archaeological site and stay at...

We really wanted to see the archaeological site and stay at Villa Durante. Both places didn't disappoint. We also found good restaurants there. Pedestrian pavements were better than in Naples but still difficult to walk on with luggage. It is a good place to stay if travelling on to Pompeii or Sorrento.

Perfect smaller alternative to Pompeii. Some places better preserved, shorter walking experience, walkable in few hours/half day, cheaper. Better than Pompeii for family with easily bored kids, less crowdy.

You can just soak up the history, not just in the 2000 year...

You can just soak up the history, not just in the 2000 year old Roman ruins of Herculeaum but also as you stroll through the lanes and passages of Ercolono itself, a wonderful town in it's own right.

It’s not the most beautiful town but the view from our appartment had beautiful views of the bay of Naples for a lot less than you pay in Sorrento. It’s a very good spot to catch the train to Pompeii ( the ruins are right beside Pompeii Scavi station change at Torre de Annunziata) Sorrento, Vesuvius and the stunning Herculaneum. There are plenty of great places to eat and a few volcanic sand beaches to relax after a long walk up a volcano. We enjoyed our pizzas at RoVi and walked into Portici for drinks at Vivarium’s rooftop bar and a fantastic seafood tasting menu at Da Guisieppe al Granatello

Nice area to walk around although many restaurants close in the afternoon and then open after 7pm. Some were closed for the summer season. There was some litter on the streets. People were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed 3 nights, and Ercolano was very convenient for visiting each of Pompeii, Ercolano, and Mt Vesuvio. We would suggest visiting both archeological sites as they provide complementary insights into Roman life and culture. A local guide by the name of Marily(Marialibera Guadagno) was recommended to us and she was brilliant. Having a private guide with her knowledge and humour added immeasurably to our experience.

This hotel was the surprise of our montth long trip to europe. The rooms were exceptionally well finished and reminded me of hotels back in australia. Space was great, beds were about the best we had on our trip and the location was actually fantastic. Unknown to us Ercolano and the area just down the main road are a hotspot for great restaurants with the area known for its gastronomy. Plus it was 7 minutes to Hurculaneum. Staff were fantastic, reserving us a car spot. Overall it was a fantastic stay.

Exceptional welcome with freshly made Napoli coffee for us on arrival. The owners were so kind and helped booking great restaurants etc. Immaculate 2nd floor apartment. Views of the bay of Naples from every room (see photo from balcony) and balconies for morning coffee . 14 minute walk from the station ( and the Vesuvius express bus) , about 5 minutes to Herculaneum site and 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach to relax after our morning trip up Vesuvius ( swim between the swim buoys) .

Salvatore the owner was 100% helpful and full of information re the area. Our room was the corner room and very spacious with lovely high ceilings. The accommodation is in an old building and on the third floor with no elevator, but the accommodation itself has been renovated to the highest standard. The location is perfect for visiting the Ercolano Ruins - just a few steps away. It is also conveniently close to various restaurants and a market.

Nice breakfast. Homemade bread, very good coffee, capuccino. Nice staff. Frer shuttle to train station Ercolano scavi. Easy train rides to Pompei, Napoli. Easy Vesuvio visit organized by hotel with local travel agency. We stayed 7 nights. Hotel had no wedding at that time. Restaurant is really good.
