Fermo can be busy but also sometimes very quiet.
Fermo can be busy but also sometimes very quiet. You park just outside the walled part and maybe at busy times it may be harder to find a space but we never had a problem. There are buses that go up to the top. Excellent views of surrounding countryside. A few interesting aspects inside to visit and the combined ticket not expensive. Next year may try to go to a performance at the theatre. Several restaurants to eat at. FERMO and its surroundings have so many beautiful things to discover and not so well known: it is like a gift to arrive here. GRAND Piazza, medieval white cathedral, wonderful view, a little italian town of art, ancient precious library... kilometres of sandy beaches. Food, good prices, people!Guest review byAnonymous

To the center it’s more like 30 minutes. It’s possible, we did it frequently, but there aren’t always sidewalks and people were driving pretty wild occasionally. If you have smaller children (ours are 14, 16, 16, 18) I can see that being a problem. Fermo is beautiful and this hotel is a good starting point to explore it. It is nice and quiet.
