It’s an exceptional place to stay. The view to the mountains and lake is hypnotising. We had a junior suite, two rooms and two bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable. The stuff is very friendly, the food was great. We took the degustation menu, wagyu tartar and pasta tartufo just amazing ❤️ my son was having lots of fun in the swimming pool. They have different equipment for kids in the pool house for swimming or playing in the water, which is en extra touch. The jacuzzi was also nice and relaxing. I would definitely like to go back there 💖

The hotel was fabulous from the minute you walk in. The views were breathtaking, the furnishings were beautiful. The staff were exceptional, with the owner, his wife and son personally talking to guests. Food was amazing, with a different a la carte menu every night. You had the same table every day for meals and the same waiter served you, which was really nice. Facilities were exceptional with plenty of sunbeds available for guests. Quiet location, the perfect retreat to relax and unwind. There were plenty of activities on offer for guests as well.

I liked everything about this place, the staff was so nice and friendly, breakfast and food in the restaurant were delicious, the room was clean and comfortable, and of course, the lake view was amazing. Right next to the hotel, there is a place where you can swim in the lake.

Very simpatic nice little spa. The staff was always friendly and helpful the whole place is very clean and nice. They also recommended a very good restaurant and helped us to make a reservation there. A nice place to relax, you can use the jacuzzi or sauna too. I liked that it was not so crowded. It has a nice atmosphere, good smell everywhere. Also a good variety of breakfast. The beds are comfortable and we had everything in the room what we needed. The parking lot has a gate and you can only enter with a code so you can leave your car there without any worries. They also took us to the parking lot with their golf cart every time we asked for.

We found the restaurant & cafes in the main ' town ' a little over priced and twice ate at the Bar Osteria Porto di Villa, at piazza Villa...on the way back towards Bogliaco (to find DH Lawrence house, British writer)... the churches in Gargnano were lovely though... and we highly recommend the fish restaurant in Bogliaco village, Trattoria Al Marinalo. Gargnano bus station has a nice bar/ cafe on the main road which was pleasant.

Small town surrounded by the mountains.

Small town surrounded by the mountains. It is perfect for bikers. Long rides including perfect uphills and mountains as well. The lake is just perfect for sailing, swimming, boating, windsurfing. Hiking is also a great possibility. Garda lake has a lot to offer. The water is colder on the norther side and warmer on the souther part.

We did not really explore Gargnano at all.

We did not really explore Gargnano at all. All we did in this town outside our apartment was going to a nearby bar/restaurant for a quick coffee in the morning. It would be unfair for us to judge Gargnano based on our experience.

We stayed in Lago di Garda for a week (one day at a hotel, the rest at a friend's villa), and perhaps this review is somewhat negative because we were just coming from a 2-week vacation in Croatia, but Lago di Garda is a bit over-rated. Based on the unreliable local transportation system, one quickly gets the impression that people (middle-income or lower) without a car are not welcome. The scenery of this huge lake surrounded by mountains is very impressive and beautiful, however we were very turned off by the fact that there are snakes in the lake! To be fair, on the very populated beaches, there were none to be seen but as soon as you find yourself a less-populated area, you would see snakes swimming around. What we also did not like is that access to the lake is often obstructed due to the way construction was allowed to take place. From a budget perspective, the choice of restaurants is geared more towards the higher-end, which reflects the kind of people you see vacationing here. What I found annoying were the opening/closing times of shops and restaurants. Expect to have difficulty in finding a place to eat in case you want dinner before 7pm and watch out for automatic service charges. Based on observation, most locals are rather old and most foreigners are either German tourists or Germans who have bought property here. My impression was that this is the perfect location for people of a certain age wanting peace and quite in a sunny destination or couples wanting a secluded getaway. My brief rating would be "beautiful but boring"

Gargnano on Lake Garda is a charming, typically Italian village with narrow streets, cozy squares, and a relaxed lakeside promenade. Tourism is noticeable but pleasant – plenty of life without the crowds. Nestled between the lake and the mountains, it offers breathtaking views and genuine Italian flair. The village of Gargnano is very beautiful, however, it's very crowded. Reaching the other villages to tour the lake requires a lot of patience because the roads are congested; that's the only downside.

Absolutely beautiful location overlooking Lake Garda & in my opinion a better location than the more touristy towns to the north or south. All the staff were helpful & polite. Free parking was available in an unground carpark 100m away. Our evening meal was served on the decking 1 metre from the shore. Perfect

Excellent location to enjoy Gargnano and the lake, good sized room with a terrace and a great view of the lake. Loved breakfast lots of options to choose from, same with the restaurant in the evening. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities including a good sized pool.

We had an amazing view on the Lake Garda. The room was big enough, but old. The place has free parking spots, which was nice and it is also pet friendly. The location is also pretty good - walk to the city takes cca. 10-15min.
