We stayed here for two nights. The checking-in process was fast as it worked online before our arrival. By the time we arrived, the lobby staff had already left, but we received all the necessary information via a WhatsApp message, and the key was left in the lobby. Our room was spotless, charming and stylish, and had a fantastic land view. The beds and the pillows were really comfortable. The pool and its area were also OK. Parking was included in the price, and upon arrival, we also received a remote control for the car park gate. The breakfast satisfied all of our needs in variety and quality and was served by a lovely old but very fit lady called Monica. We met every morning and got into a conversation very quickly. Monica warmly welcomed us and kept her eyes on what to bring and how to pamper our needs or favour while smiling and singing quietly. The pies served were her homemade pies and were really very delicious. She introduced the view we had from the breakfast area. She also talked about herself and how she sees the world, her art pieces exhibited in the breakfast area. Monica is definitely the heart of the place, and we felt she was like our lovely grandmother. At first, we supposed that Vetulonia was a tiny place, even smaller than a village, just some houses, and there was nothing to do there at all. But we found a community here. There is a pub in the village centre where all the local people come together, talk and have fun in the evenings on the main street; in the village, there is a restaurant, a museum and churches, as well. There are even festivals in the village. This place is the island of tranquillity, and if you are curious about the real life of rural Italian people, just come here and look.

We´ve never had such a bad experience, the appartment was...

We´ve never had such a bad experience, the appartment was totally overpriced!!!!!!! The "resort" is localised somewhere in the Macchie, far away from any village or paved street (but we have to admit that we migh have knew that from the description on the website). But we have had similar appartments in Tuscany with similar descriptions, which were much better located. The "resort" was dusty and dirty, parking was difficult. Pool was smelling. The view is far from beeing spectacular, just the autostrada and some olive trees. The appartment was under the roof, without air conditioning. The house is in the sun for the whole day. Therefore it was hot, sleeping and relaxing was not possible. Ventilation was not possible, because the flynets were not existent or damaged. The cheap fans were noisy and ineffective. The appartment was dirty, loveless equipped, which we did not expect for the price. We have had two other apparments in other locations in Tuscany for a similar price during our holidays, and we experienced also other apartments before. We have never had such a bad experience, the price-perfomance ration was catastrophic. The contact with the owner/manager was less then helpful, and we can only advice to ignore all comments of the owner/manager in the answers of this and other evaluations. Of course, we´d checked the comments and ratings from other clients, but unfortunately trusted the answers from the owner/manager, and ignore the warnings. In summary, this offer/appartment is an impertinence and mess, and we can only warn to book this "resort".

If you are looking for an authentic experience in the Tuscan countryside, I highly recommend this place; it's a hidden gem! The garden outside is beautifully kept, very picturesque. The surrounding are stunning, and the location is so peaceful you'll feel rejuvenated. The sky is full of stars at night, and there is minimal light pollution in Gavorrano. I wished we could have stayed longer; the hosts were terrific and friendly, they gave us lots of indications of places to visit in the area. I can't wait to go back.

the area around Gavorrano is very quiet, pleasant and conveniently placed to reach a plethora of beaches of different kinds. also, we traveled with our dog and just walking the dog around the premises was a pleasure. the apartment was spacious. maybe with the exception of the kitchenette, which was modest but sufficiently equipped and more then useful for making food for four people. surprisingly, one of the highly appreciated assets was the pool, which was big enough, clean and a nice treat after a long trips returns.

We had a wonderful stay at Agriturismo Casetta. As we had very warm weather, we had two fans to keep us cool. Our host Antonio was very welcoming and gave us great tips about what to do and where to eat in the area. We particularly enjoyed Grosseto and the market on Thursday was fun. The little hill villages Ravi, Caldana and Gavorrano were well worth a visit.

Perfectly located in the center of Gavorrano. Nice and comfortable, perfect for long stays, but also accepts shorter stays, which was perfect for me! Host Giuseppe was very thorough in communication before and during the stay.
