This was a gem of a masseria. Situated in beautiful surroundings the masseria was stunningly tasteful in its design. The pool and terrace made for restful but sociable tranquillity, surrounded by fig trees and fairy lights creating a magical ambience. The dining room and private rooms were elegantly rustic. Delicious homegrown and baked food, authentically artisanal, the hosts were delightful, warm and generous. Would highly recommend. We will be coming back next year!

A great b&b, fantastic location and very clean rooms. Michele was a wonderful host, nothing was too much to ask - we are vegan and he very kindly provided a vegan breakfast for us. Highly recommended!

What a brilliant find this was! 3 motorcyclists travelling round Italy and came across this hotel, we stayed one night but if we’d had time would definitely have stayed more. Beautifully clean, great facilities in the rooms and apartments, great staff - their English was better than our Italian for sure! The young Barman was a biker himself and gave some good tips on surrounding roads. Private parking was easy, on site restaurant does a mean pizza and the beach is less than a 2 min walk away, have a dip in the Adriatic if you can. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Superb and luxurious comfort in a clean and well appointed hotel. A welcome night of sprawling rest after a day's travel and a single-bed the night before. In mid October San Menaio is largely closed but Villa Maria, a stately pink mansion tucked away quietly in its luscious green garden surrounded by pines, keeps going to November. It is just 5 minutes walk to a sensational sandy beach, with a crossing over the inevitable railway line right below, so no need to detour for miles as can happen. The beach was empty apart from one fisherman and handful of walkers, and I had a blissful 4pm swim in 24 degree sunshine. Villa Maria also has a VERY good restaurant (the squid was superb, as were the maccheroncini) which rightly attracted many non-residents. Spacious car park, which is a small but appreciable asset, when one is in a big car in Italy. All at a bargain price, which may have been because I was out of season but was the best value in all of Italy so far. And i had breakfast with a fox. A great discovery and highly recommend.

    Little place in the heart of Gargano, only 15min from...

    Little place in the heart of Gargano, only 15min from several beautiful beaches but relatively quiet, you won't find big turist crowds here, mostly locals. Typical Apulian architecture that is a delight to see. A few bars and pizzerias, food shops and whatever else you may need. For big shops, I recommend Vico Del Gargano, a 15 min drive.
