This is a perfect stop if you are travelling to southern Italy and looking for an overnight base in an interesting town off the A1. And it is always so much better to get a full and comfortable apartment, rather than a hotel room, especially as I was travelling with two dogs. Giovanna, the host, immediately responded to my message and was waiting for me on arrival.

Wonderful old house on a very quiet street, even it was very close to central square. Super comfortable bed, best sleep. Beautiful inner deco in harmony and comfort. Fridge to keep our foods cool and great shower. Owner was very sweet lady.

    The city is not big but very nice.

    The city is not big but very nice. Has many beautiful places to see, as in the city center as many paths for walking or bicycle. City offers variety of restaurants and bars, where you can taste local food and enjoy aperitivo. For me the best place for aperitivo is on Piazza della Vittoria or in park in Calicantus Cafè. From here it is easy to explore more cities in surrounding, as Milan, Monza, Pavia, Piacenza. By train you are in Milan in 15 minutes (station Rogoredo) and in the city center in other 15 minutes (Doumo). Moving by train in Italy is very easy. As well the lakes. The closets one is Lago di Como. And if you go to this lake for sure visit Bellagio. It is very romantic.

    4 mins drive to Lodi. Lodi is a nice small town. We were happy to visit there. 50 mins drive to Milan. This is a great place to rest on your way to Milan.
