The hosts were exceptionally helpful. They did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay. We had a great cooking lesson with them and they helped book restaurants and provided great recommendations. The property is very tastefully renovated and really comfortable, close to the town centre. This enables easy access to restaurants and bars. Good parking available on the street. Good breakfast. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Villa Giadel is the most beautiful place we stayed in Sicily. Everything is perfect down to the last detail. The room is large, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is varied and very tasty. This is a beautiful hotel situated amid the rolling vineyards of the Planeta estate on the south coast. It’ a modern well thought out building housing beautiful rooms and suites which are tastefully decorated with antiques, art and comfortable modern touches, the quality of the furnishings is superb. The suites and their patios look out on pretty well tended herb gardens, vines and beyond to the sea. It’s very peaceful. The restaurant serves modern Sicilian dishes and the wine list, as you would expect, is extensive and well thought out. All the staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. Although it was too cold for us to use the beautiful pool or visit their beach club we intend to return!

The restaurant was not open for dinner.

The restaurant was not open for dinner. A car would be essential for elderly people. The smell in the room we were first assigned was intolerable. The junior staff were kind like most people in Sicily. The Manager was unconcerned about us. He made concessions only under pressure. We left as early as possible after 1 night and were refused any refund for the remaining 2 nights. The beach was superb.

Menfi is a well positioned small town about 60 Km southwest of Palermo. Perfectly positioned to explore the coastal stretch from Trapani to Agrigento... beautiful beaches, historic sides, wine estates and ancient ruins...

We travelled in April.

We travelled in April. Weather was good on paper (sunny - 23 degrees, although a little windy). However, there weren't many restaurants / shops open in Menfi. A few bars and nice places to eat were open, but we stayed somewhere without a restaurant or cooking facilities so it became tricky to eat out in the evenings and the town felt a little dead at times. Menfi is a great place to access some beautiful beaches (beware, not much was open on the beaches in April) as well as Selinunte. also within easy reach of Sciacca (which had much more of a vibe at this time of year, being a larger town, and more history etc) and we enjoyed the hot springs Terme Acqua Pia, about a 20 min drive away. We liked Menfi and reckon it would be a great place to be based during the summer months (you do need a car though, not sure what transport would be like in the summer but we'd have been stuck without one) but at this time of year I would probably go somewhere a little bigger/busier if/when we go again. It was absolutely lovely though, and if you're looking for somewhere super chilled it would be perfect, especially if you had cooking facilities. But we'd love to return in June / July!

We have just spent the most glorious week here in Cavale. It is such a well designed and beautiful property. Every detail has been considered. It’s absolutely perfect and I would highly recommend it. The pool is great so much so that we spent as much time there as at the beach. The villa is set within stunning grounds and it is very peaceful. It is also well placed to visit some great beaches and the town of Menfi. I would highly recommend the property and Menfi.

Absolutely everything. Beautiful location, incredible building, wonderful art everywhere. The pool was beautiful, the garden was like a sculpture park. The breakfast was fantastic. We ate dinner also every night for 4 nights and cannot rate the food highly enough. The family who own and run the hotel are lovely. They also have a very lovely dog . I highly recommend this hotel and will be back

Ir was so quiet, not crowded and calm. The hotel staff did everything to make their guests feel at home. The breakfast was really nice. Big and nice pool. Calm beach reachable in 10min by car. We would really like to come back.
