The property is in bay with beautiful views. We enjoyed the fact that it was away from the crowds. the rooftop bar was great and we were able to enjoy an amazing sunset while having an aperitif. Dinner was outstanding and the seafood was so fresh. The warm chocolate cake was also a stand out. The staff were all helpful and attentive. It was a fantastic place to relax

Lovely Hotel with lovely double sea view room and beach - lovely helpful staff especially Francesca on reception who went above and beyond to help us - Meta is better than staying in overpriced Sorrento as you have beach and 25 bus ride to Sorrento - would come back again and would stay only at this Hotel - PS The best place to eat nearby 10 min walk is Tico Tico restaurant - classy waiting staff and food Grazie Tanto Alimuri Bay Resort - a più presto!

To start ... the breakfast was Very Good and the Capichino's were Excellent. Assunta made the Best one that I had tasted in Italy...!!! The Room was spacious and Very Clean. Maria and Assunta ensured that all you needs were answered. The Beach and a handful of Restaurants were only 10 minutes away by foot, and All the Restaurants we tried were Excellent. Tico & Tico, Lido Mare and The Golden Beach Restaurant were the Best in my opinion ... I would definitely recommend the Perfiterole with Chocholate ... Extremely Decadent... I forgot to mention ... there is a Cheese/Wine/Assorted Meats and wine Shop with Amazingly Friendly people that speak English, Only 4 doors down from the Hotel... The Only tip I have, would be to bring Water Beach Shoes for the Beach, as all the Beaches are small Lava Rocks...

Lovely village.

Lovely village. Fabulous views of Bay of Naples, Capri and coastal area. gorgeous cafe across from Church del Lauro. friendly and chatty owner. Local Sita bus available and frequent - central to visit Piano de Sorrento, north to naples and down south to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi Coast. Supermarkets/local shops for supplies.

Meta was a great location if looking for an affordable base...

Meta was a great location if looking for an affordable base to explore the coast. We were able to catch the bus into Sorrento daily (it can be a bit of a wait and not always on schedule), and also connect to Amalfi and Positano via the SITA buses.

Meta is lovely.

Meta is lovely. I would use it more as a base though and tour around. Like Pompeii or Rome which was a short trip. It’s pretty quiet, not much around for a grocery store but the people were some of the loveliest we met throughout our tour through Italy. Bus is decent, hard to get a taxi. Train service excellent. You must try Le Conca restaurant in Meta - we went every day, is what THAT good! https://www.ristorantelaconca.net/ Wifi was spotty throughout, but we were having severe rainstorm while here which impacted where we could go. Sorrento was flooded.

We only had a couple of days and we arrived in the middle of...

We only had a couple of days and we arrived in the middle of heavy rain quite late. We spent the following staying close to the beach and had lunch at TicoTico (suggested by our host) which was excellent! Meta is a quieter place to stay than Sorrento but we found it easy to get there by bus.

Basically, the beaches were crowded, plus there were nothing to see during snorkeling. So we usually travelled to other places. Unfortunately the public bus transport is pretty bad. No timetable, what google map finds is either out of date or simply not as it expected. We had never known if a scheduled 1-2 bus is coming or not. Total stochastic, and it is pretty bad in the evening. The place itself is nice, but that's all.

Loved everything about my stay. The rooftop view is really special. Rooms are comfortable and mine was very spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. It takes 8-10 mins to walk to the train and the bus stops very close to the hotel so it’s easy to go to Sorrento and other towns. Meta is a bit quieter than the bigger towns so it’s a nice change of pace. As a solo female traveller I felt safe walking the streets back to the hotel alone at night.

Angelica was an amazing host. The room was very clean. Shared kitchen was very well equipped and there was a little 'coffee' corner for use each morning. Meta is quiet and free from too many tourists which was nice for us. There's a few good restaurants, markets, pasticceria and a pharmacy close by. Walk to beach is 5 minutes tops. Bus or train to Sorrento if you want more shops, restaurants (and tourists!!!).

A very quiet and clean studio apartment, which is a short walk from Meta Station and bus stops, making it easy to travel around. The owners were very helpful and kind and even picked us up from the station when we arrived to show us how to find the apartment. It was lovely to have the outside space to sit in with orange trees in the garden. This was a great place to stay.

We absolutely loved this apartment!! Super clean and fresh, house keeping comes by daily to refresh the room and linen! The pool was fantastic, the area of Meta was really peaceful and the bus to Sorrento was just down the road!
