Everything was simply perfect. Meta is a quiet place with significantly less tourist than Sorrento itself which was a relief for us, and Sorrento is 10min walking+5 minutes by train so can be reached anytime. The town and the hotel itself is on a beatiful place, looks even better than on the pictures here. The rooms are clean and of a tasteful mediterranean style, cleaned everyday if needed, has everything a hotel room should have (italian rooms also tend to have water boiler). Beds are confy too. AC is included in the price and is more than enough. Breakfast was good and their bar and restaurant is perfect, all the dishes were very good and pizza is excelent. The roof bar has a private party almost every evening but in most cases you still can go there, it finishes at midnight and the music isn’t disturbing even with clised windows. Prizes are normal Sorrentin Peninsula prizes. They clean their beach and its water all day if needed. You have to pay for the spot there but it was half the prize of that we had to pay in Amalfi. But still the best is the staff. Everyone was super friendly, taking care of us the whole time and making our stay better only with their personality and urbanity.

Lovely Hotel with lovely double sea view room and beach - lovely helpful staff especially Francesca on reception who went above and beyond to help us - Meta is better than staying in overpriced Sorrento as you have beach and 25 bus ride to Sorrento - would come back again and would stay only at this Hotel - PS The best place to eat nearby 10 min walk is Tico Tico restaurant - classy waiting staff and food Grazie Tanto Alimuri Bay Resort - a più presto!

The place is in a very good location. Very close to the Meta train station. Very good bakery close to the place, wine shop as well. The best thing is fantastic view from terrace. Amazing!! The hoster was very kind and gave useful recomendations. The room not big, but good enought. Very clean.

Lovely village. Fabulous views of Bay of Naples, Capri and coastal area. gorgeous cafe across from Church del Lauro. friendly and chatty owner. Local Sita bus available and frequent - central to visit Piano de Sorrento, north to naples and down south to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi Coast. Supermarkets/local shops for supplies.

Meta was a great location if looking for an affordable base...

Meta was a great location if looking for an affordable base to explore the coast. We were able to catch the bus into Sorrento daily (it can be a bit of a wait and not always on schedule), and also connect to Amalfi and Positano via the SITA buses.

Meta is lovely.

Meta is lovely. I would use it more as a base though and tour around. Like Pompeii or Rome which was a short trip. It’s pretty quiet, not much around for a grocery store but the people were some of the loveliest we met throughout our tour through Italy. Bus is decent, hard to get a taxi. Train service excellent. You must try Le Conca restaurant in Meta - we went every day, is what THAT good! https://www.ristorantelaconca.net/ Wifi was spotty throughout, but we were having severe rainstorm while here which impacted where we could go. Sorrento was flooded.

We only had a couple of days and we arrived in the middle of...

We only had a couple of days and we arrived in the middle of heavy rain quite late. We spent the following staying close to the beach and had lunch at TicoTico (suggested by our host) which was excellent! Meta is a quieter place to stay than Sorrento but we found it easy to get there by bus.

Basically, the beaches were crowded, plus there were nothing to see during snorkeling. So we usually travelled to other places. Unfortunately the public bus transport is pretty bad. No timetable, what google map finds is either out of date or simply not as it expected. We had never known if a scheduled 1-2 bus is coming or not. Total stochastic, and it is pretty bad in the evening. The place itself is nice, but that's all.

The location was amazing, Meta's beach would have been left unexplored if I hadn't booked the place. The restaurants around the beach were our regular, with amazing views and delicious Italian food. The apartment was very nice, it was a comfortable stay. The only thing I would highlight is that if you have mobility issues, this place may be a bit away from transportation. We were backpacking and had no such issues so we were happy to walk up and down the local roads in Meta. Highly recommended and I would be back here again!

Our rooms were very clean and fresh we loved the location. the hotel was beautiful with amazing artwork. also right next to bus stop to Sorrento and 10 minute walk to train. Milena was so helpful with offering us local information on timetables, drivers and restaurants. We thought the for money was very good and Meta was a great base to explore the Amalfi coast.

Large and spacious apartment in a great location. The kitchen is fully equipped. Individually controlled air conditioning in each room. A large balcony with a stunning mountain view and a side sea view. An elevator in the building. Nearby are a grocery store, nice bakery, and drink bar. Meta as a city is nice and quiet with really nice beaches.

In meta sorrento so a bit out of the centre but right near the bus stop so it's fine. Good host, lift available in the apartment block itself and so did not have to take stairs up to flat. Housekeeping everyday. Garage available if you rent a scooter or car.
