Very friendly owner and staff with great selection of food, reasonably priced in their newly extended restaurant. Parking in the street outside was easy at 4.30pm. Worth a 20-minute detour on route to Ancona ferry to Greece. Our room was on the 2nd floor but no problem with a Lift.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Giardino. The hotel is really charming. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, with homemade cakes and local produce. Service was friendly and efficient. I left a travel bag there in error. The hotel staff were very helpful. I arranged a courier to pick it up but the hotel had to package the bag, print and attach labels. They did all this efficiently and couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely be back.

The architecture of the MA hotel ( Moderna Agora) is very unique. The building is very well preserved and the facilities of the hotel very good,as it was a former convent, or monastry The staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast, is a tasty buffet of riches. Facilities of the the hotel are very good. But the great views from the hotel are amazing.

I appreciated the hot water offered for tea at breakfast. The location is lovely and there are plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance. The bed sheets were cotton and that makes all the difference!

Great location near 2 local sup ermarkets, a shoe shop, great restaurant and cafe all visited by local people. Stunning scenery. Lavender field was focal attraction when we visited at the end of June with many Italian visitors. Good atmosphere.

    Whilst Mondavio is small and a little sleepy, for a short...

    Whilst Mondavio is small and a little sleepy, for a short break or as a base with a hire car it's perfect. It's safe, parking is free and plentiful. There are enough bars and restaurants to keep you occupied. If you're not renting a car, you can get there by public transport and would be quite self-sufficient. We walked to a little supermarket to stock up on provisions whilst we were there. Food and bars are excellent, and much more reasonable than the UK. Loved visiting the castle and the theatre and walking around the ramparts.

    Amazing host. Helpful, attentive, kind.

    Amazing host. Helpful, attentive, kind. There are restaurants and bars a five to ten minute drive away. The one we used had a pick-up menu. The host helped with the telephone order and also with collection. Roberta, our host is a really lovely person, could not be more helpful, she's also a very good Baker and makes cakes for breakfast!

    Absolutely fantastic hotel. I think the best value for money I have ever experienced. The photos don't do it justice! The rooms are recently renovated and done really well. We stayed in Family room which was two separate double rooms but connected with a door inside so it was absolutely perfect. The whole place was super clean. The food was excellent. The village is also really interesting but quiet at the same time and you get a lovely view of the castle from the hotel. Will definitely come back. 10/10 for everything!

    This is the second time that we have stayed at La Palomba. We love the location - the hilltop town of Mondaivo is stunning and the hotel is a thriving hub with an excellent restaurant and a friendly atmosphere.

    Nice modern hotel in front of Mondavio’s impressive fortifications and tower. Excellent restaurant and very good breakfast. Parking very easy to find in the immediate vicinity.
