This was place absolute perfection. Everything is carefully thought, arranged and designed to provide a delightful experience. We spent there on New Year’s Eve and the hotel had beautiful activities planed, including a great brunch for January 1st. The room smelled amazing, it was super clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the Tuscany hills. The owner John was very kind and attentive.

I had an amazing experience at Castel Monastero. The staff were extremely friendly - as soon as I told them it was my birthday they showered me with surprises including birthday cake and birthday balloons with a bottle of wine in my room! The hotel was extremely clean, breakfast was great. Couldn’t choose a better location for my birthday getaway!

Lovely authentic place to stay in the heart of Tuscany, close to Siena. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our room, all communication throughout our stay was excellent. The room itself was a suite so it was very spacious and very clean and comfortable bed. We spent some time by the pool before having dinner on the property which we highly recommmed! Breakfast was sufficient for what we needed and nice to sit outside and enjoy it.

Exceptional property, on a small hill top. Spacious room. The restaurant is closer to fine dining than traditional, with excellent courses and an extensive wine list. Staff is very well prepared and friendly. We had a big delay with our flight and arrived at 01:00 in the night, the Chef was waiting for us and was very helpful. Amazing wildlife around. Wild boards, rabbits, foxes. Drive carefully. Not cheap, not overly expensive, hits the right balance. The location is 30 30-minute drive from Siena, and it is great for exploring all major Tuscan regions. 1 hour drive to Montepulcianio, San Giminiano, Chianti regions.
