Everything. The location was fantastic. Easily is the best location within the walls of Montecarlo. We really enjoyed the cozy courtyard immediately outside the building. The owners went above and beyond our expectations and made us feel exceptionally welcome. The room was charming and well presented. We were even lucky enough to have the only room with a small private balcony. The breakfast was the best we have had during our time in Italy. They put on homemade pastries, cakes, yoghurt and granola as well as more. We would highly recommend making the most of the fantastic wine available whilst playing a game of chess in the courtyard. Thank you for the wonderful memories. Btw there is a gelato place just 80 meters a way tha served amazing ice cream!

We went here on a whim and we were very pleasantly surprised! Everything was fantastic! Very friendly and generous people. We had a little wine tasting when we arrived with the houses own wines which was very nice and with really tasty wines. The view from the hill is magnificent and the pool is just by the vineyard. The dinner was also excellent and actually authentic Italian where it was possible to have antipasti, primi, secondi and dulce without getting overly full.

Gorgeous hilltop village with great restaurants and a castle that you can visit with amazing views. We loved the fact that it wasn't too touristy and our trip coincided with the annual wine festival with lots of stalls and live music which we enjoyed.

It was quite special to stay in an ancient fortification stemming from the 1400's. The heir to this property gave us good historic background on the property. The unit is reasonable in size and was a comfortable size for 4 people although we were 6. The sleeper couch was not comfortable. The kitchen was very nice but it was not equipped to the standard of a true self catering unit. For the rest everything was just fine and we would advise anybody to come and stay here when visiting the area. The main bedroom bed was nice. The 2nd bedroom only had half walls. The little town is quaint and beautiful and worthwhile visiting

Montecarlo is an excellent village on a hilltop close to Lucca. The village is very lively in the evening, with many restaurants and bars. Unfortunately, like in many other locations where demand exceeds supply, we had some negative experiences with restaurant owners who were rude and not flexible with tourists. Fortunately, those were a few exceptions, while most restaurants were friendly and gentle.

This is a small quaint mountain village surrounded by a wall. Parking for visitors is outside the wall. There is an old fortress Rocca di Montecarlo which is privately owned and open to visitors on weekends only. The Teatro dei Rassicurati (Theatre of the Reassured) must be the tiniest theatre ever and has an interesting history. The staff of the Tourist Office have a key and you can go inside free of charge. The Main Street is Via Romana and from the small square you get wonderful views over the countryside. The bell of the tower chimes every hour and can be seen for miles around. There are plenty of eating places and we saw quite a few visitors, some had come by bicycle, and we even saw a bus tour. Olive groves and vineyards are a common sight.

Montecarlo is a small town nestled in the countryside with few but interesting things to see. Ideal for relaxing. La Casa dei Rassicurati is clean and welcoming. Very friendly. Continental breakfast. I would have avoided the fan directly above the bed to avoid the chill; perhaps a different position. I had a great time.

Montecarlo itself is a pleasant medieval village with a historic center and the remains of a castle. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and will satisfy gourmets looking for delicious local wines or local dishes from Tuscany. Only on weekends you need to reserve your seats in restaurants because they are often full.

The house was beautiful and perfectly furnished. Extremely spacious for all of our family, all 10 of us. The garden was extensive and made the stay so much better as we could chill outside and the kids could play in the pool. Paolo and his family went above and beyond to make our stay as special as possible. Sharing their wine, home grown fruit and running us to Montecarlo and the train station. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. This is a perfect place to stay for a quiet family relaxing holiday.

We had a very nice stay at the resort. Beautiful views and very good wine. Very nice details in the garden, different places to sit and watch the view. Great breakfast. We loved the small town Montecarlo just a few minutes walk to get there. It was a very small but sooo charming village.
