Amazing location! The most peaceful place I have ever been! Located in a uniquely preserved village in a hidden valley, there is lots of space to chill, go on walks and enjoy the surroundings. The host Lozenzo and his wife are very welcoming, kind people. We enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast every morning and the chats throughout our stay. There is a small kitchen which was so helpful to cook pasta and make tea/coffee. Friendly cats too! The apartment was very spacious with amazing views and lovely period furniture to match the location. The heater was nice to have too. Comfy bed. We hope to come back again soon!

Absolutely stunning place. 173 steep stone steps up the hill, you reach this hidden gem in the middle of the Ligurian mountains. From morning till night, all you want to do is gaze over the mountains, and you will never wish to be anywhere else. Leo is the perfect host and then a little more. Very helpful and extremely kind, and in addition to this, he is a great cook🍋 We were lucky to get a chance to participate in his wonderful dinner. Thank you! Every morning he serves a luxurious breakfast on the terrasse, we felt very spoiled💕 In less than half an hour, you reach the Mediterranean and can jump into the beautiful turquoise water from eg. Chiavara, Sestri Levante, or anywhere else. A must is to visit Portofino, either by car, bus, or boat, departing from several harbors along the coast. Charming villages everywhere, but the best part of going to the coast is to return to the mountains and climb the 173 steps to your calm and lovely place ⛰️. Down the hill, there is a wonderful restaurant, Ca' di Prei, with local dishes, and a bit further down is the Michelin trattoria La Brinca. Make sure to book your table well in advance!🍝 We loved the car ride up the steep and narrow roads, and we learned to appreciate the steps from the parking lot to Farmhouse Castagnola 64. By the way, make sure to bring home a bottle or two of Leo and Lu's own olive oil 🫒

The price is really fair, especially compared with the other hotels in the area. Location is superb. 10 min car ride to to Sestri Levante and 30 to Portofino. Breakfast doesnt have a large variety of options but in my opinion, everything you need (fresh eggs, cereals, ham and cheese, yoghurts, desserts and even gluten free options. Staff is nice and helpful. We asked the owner (a beautiful, loving lady) to help us find the easiest way to reach San Fruttuoso, and she recommended us to visit Camogli as well and she even printed the train timelines for us! At check out, the lady gifted me a hand fan :)

In the village there is a family-run restaurant, excellent dinner on a terrace with a panoramic view. The final stretch of the road is a bit winding but well asphalted, we reached it by motorbike.

The problem with dinner is that there's not much choice of trattorias/restaurants. DO NOT go to the restaurant the agriturismo owner recommends. That restaurant is a complete dump...

Very authentic feeling, cosy and enjoyable stay, we loved it, The self check-in is very flexible and the communication with the host excellent.. Although is a little far from the main sights in Liguria, I really recommend it. A very good experience with great value for money.

Lorenzo the host inspires appreciation. This is a rare and unique experience. To keep this place alive is such a beautiful labour of love. Nestled in nature, it is like a cave. A little hideaway where the people bring warmth and add to the charm. A truly welcoming place.
