We stayed in Alzo, part of Pella apparently, but its own little village up the hill somewhat on the west side of Lago d'Orta. The square looks over the lake: fantastic view with a small village feeling. Post office, lodging choices, church, dining (Osteria del Gallo), bank, all a short drive down to Pella or up more to the homes and sights high above.Guest review byWilliam

We enjoyed the peacefulness of the place. Looking over at the island and the town opposite. Ferries are easy to use. Truly relaxing and a hidden secret. Hosts were lovely too. Good value for money. Alzo is a nice town more easily reached by car but we managed with ferries and the local bus.
