We thoroughly enjoyed the historic feel to the village, the unique style of the boutique b&b and the exceptional service the staff provided! Not to mention the hand made pastries and fresh fruit juices from the garden we got each morning! The staff were amazing and catered to our every need, even picking up and dropping our suitcases to our car and ironing our dress and suit ahead of the wedding we attending! We felt truly spoilt and in such a breath takingly stunning location too! Such a wonderful experience!

Unique Experience A unique experience in the mountains, a charming location and a very nice host, Mr. Fausto explained us everything related to the house. The house is spacious, comfortable and very authentic. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom & the kitchen are well equipped. Everything about this place was perfect. Beautiful little town with its own castle on top of a hill. The restaurant was incredible (and cheap) we ate so much of the delicious homemade food with ingredients from all around the town, even got a little treat for next day. One of the best meals we had in Italy so far. Hotel doubles as the local gathering point so it’s complete with an authentic atmosphere. Amazing stop after after a day of hiking.

This B&B shines like a beacon on the hill. It's clean as a whistle and the well heated rooms have excellent views but the real draw is the hospitality. My partner and I rocked up off season and expected restaurants in Stazzema to be open. They weren't. Daniella made us an excellent dinner with drinks. If it didn't save our life it certainly made the night very welcoming. Come here and stay. Seriously.

The B&B is in a magical location, we have never before felt so remote yet comfortable - it is very rare to sleep next to waterfalls, which made the stay feel very special and romantic. My partner and I were staying for our anniversary, and Gianluca (the host) was exceptionally friendly and attentive to all of our needs. The room has all the facilities one could desire, and the breakfast had excellent options - it was particularly nice to be able to choose what we wanted to eat/drink and dine outside. Whilst I had initially chosen the booking for its outstanding location, I would certainly go back equally for Gianluca's hospitality. We had a slight moment of panic when my partner left some of her belongings by mistake in a bedroom drawer, but Gianluca immediately informed us and arranged for the belongings to be delivered to us, which was an extra level of thoughtfulness and honesty that exceeded expectations. We will certainly be visiting Candalla again, as the whole experience was memorable.

    Beautiful neighborhood with mountains and woods, little quiet villages. For relaxation and quietness while having beautiful views. Nice restaurants in the neighborhood. For entertainment you need a car to go to Lucca and visit other places like Castelnuovo or the Medieval festival in Silicon.
