Unbelievable location!!! An absolute must return. Gorgeous setting, peaceful surroundings . Wine served is from the property, olive trees all around. Dinner was plentiful and delicious. Super friendly staff and excellent food! My kids insisted on staying also for lunch the following day, we loved the home made pasta with truffles. Lots of fun in the swimming pool, we even enjoyed our Aperitif there. Will surely come back!

The staff was kind and helpful, always with a smile on their faces. They also accomodated our request for different types of milk for our cappuccino. The villa is very nice with beautiful architraves. Not sure about the presence of a lift, we didn't need one, but people with reduced mobility should enquire before travelling.

The place was PERFECT!!!!!! I was there for 2 days for work but wish I would have stayed more. When I arrived the lady/owner was there waiting. I arrived before check in time. I speak a little Italian and learning it as I go, so I had a conversation with her and she is very pleasant, unlike some other places I visited that were more business oriented. The house is smack in the middle of nature. The surrounding fields were well taken care of, mown and not overgrown. The little roof at the entrance you see in the pictures is a relaxing terrace with a comfortable sitting area. There is individual heating and air conditioning in the room I stayed. Breakfast was way above and beyond any other breakfast I had on my 45 days long trip. WiFi was excellent (saying that we were 2 single guests and a family of 4 people at the time staying there). Everything was very clean and the overall atmosphere very relaxing. You NEED a car to get there, and I mention this because, in my opinion, it would be less likely for a partying crowd to get there. I would highly recommend this place.

We randomly selected this location as a halfway stop on our road trip from southern Puglia to Tuscany. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the accommodation, the village and the area were so beautiful and exceeded our expectations! We wished we could have stayed longer. The hosts were very friendly and the history of the Palazzo and their family is very interesting. The rooms are historic, but with all modern comforts including modern bathrooms and comfortable beds, desk, storage, small fridge, iron/board etc. Everything is impeccably clean. The breakfast terrace is beautifully furnished and the view over the mountain valley is spectacular. The village itself is very pretty and charming and we loved getting a drink at the bar next to the Palazzo Ducale in the old centre, just two minutes walk from the hotel. The locals were also very friendly, a couple of them pointing out historic details to us. They seemed quite proud of the history, including the remains of a Roman cistern. Highly recommend this place to those looking for the road less traveled. We definitely want to go back.

Absolutely gorgeous property, exceeded our expectations. We had 2 rooms and a bathroom, nicely furnished and spotless key clean. The pool and terrace area were fabulous - plenty of Sun loungers and umbrellas. Breakfast was delicious, we also had dinner which was amazing.

    We were visiting to see places where our ancestors came from...

    We were visiting to see places where our ancestors came from. The Piazza hasn't changed much over the years and the people are so friendly and welcoming. Lots of lovely walks through the forests if you like walking. Picinisco is very hilly so take good walking shoes. All the restaurants offer fantastic food. We tried most of them and weren't disappointed.

    Picinisco is my heritage village and I had not been there...

    Picinisco is my heritage village and I had not been there since I was a child. I was absolutely amazed when I arrived by Taxi from Cassino. We were collected by Adriano Capocci (the local Taxi and Bus company owner) who was very efficient and punctual. If you do not drive there or hire a car, Adriano is your man. The historic village is nestled in the mountains, Val Comino in the province of Frosinone. There are two churches, 3-4 restaurants with local produce and two bars where the local community gather each day. During the summer it is inundated with tourists, without feeling overcrowded, it is mostly Italians that emigrated to Scotland (and Ireland like myself) who return to their roots. Picinisco has a magical feel about it and that is mostly thanks to a man named Cesidio di Ciacca (and his family) Picinisco is totally elegant, its sophisticated and a stunning retreat any time of the year. I loved my time there and can't wait to return. You can fly into Roma Ciampino and take a train from Ciampino direct to Cassino and you are almost there. Buon Viaggio...Picinisco is a wonderful place.

    Picinisco is a lovely size village with a fantastic location and views for miles around. Very friendly people running the bars and shops. Easy to walk around and stop and have a drink.coffee -always with the amazing views.
