Absolutely wonderful place. The location was magical and right in the heart of the beautiful village. Aline our host was truly lovely. So many delicious treats left for us. The place was spotlessly clean. Such a shame we could stay longer.

Solvita and Massimo were wonderful hosts, very kind and accommodating. They waited for us at the free parking to make sure we did not get lost in the streets of Pigny and could easily find the apartment, and they also helped us reserve a table at a restaurant without any problems. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. A lovely bonus was the small balcony, perfect for morning coffee and relaxing in the evening. We would definitely stay here again.

Pigna is very quiet (at least on an Easter weekend), there's...

Pigna is very quiet (at least on an Easter weekend), there's nothing to do apart from walk around the town and the valley and eat dinner at one of the excellent restaurants (careful, everything's closed on Monday and Tuesday night except the very good pizzeria). But if you're looking for peace and quiet and beauty and friendly locals, Pigna has everything you're looking for. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Pigna has a well-maintained historical center representative...

Pigna has a well-maintained historical center representative of mountain towns in Liguria. The one bar in the center is a gathering place for the community. At the edge of the old center on the main road lies cluster of restaurants, a pharmacy, a bank and other stores.

A truly surprising village with many excellent restaurants...

A truly surprising village with many excellent restaurants in and around the village, and above all, the best grande cappuccino, pastries, and ice cream at the gelateria at exceptionally reasonable prices. The sea is 25 minutes away, and the higher mountains are also 25 minutes away. In short, a perfect base.

A beautiful, typical Ligurian village with old stone...

A beautiful, typical Ligurian village with old stone buildings, staircases, and narrow, winding streets (though well-lit!). It's entirely pedestrianized, but there are several large parking areas on either side of the main road, all within a 5-minute walk. Close to the coast and Ventimiglia, yet it already has a mountain feel. Shops and good restaurants are nearby. Numerous hiking trails and charming surrounding villages are also within easy reach.

Beautiful old mountain village with a rich history. The downside is that it's a half-hour drive to the coast and a larger town. Pigna has only a tiny shop for basic necessities. Two or three restaurants, which are also sometimes closed.

We chose Pigna as a central base for visiting the ancient villages of Western Liguria. It's a quiet, charming town, nestled around a well-maintained historic center that respects tradition. A few kilometers away are other villages, each with its own unique characteristics, and interesting sites in the Ligurian Alps.

Beautiful apartment with patio and splendid mountain views. Clean, quiet, two bathrooms; one is next to the bedroom. Pigna is lovely village and we visited all villages in area by bus. The host Alessandro (on phone) was always available to help us and help resolve minor problems. The local manager, Laura, was charming, and collected us by car from another village when there was a one afternoon transport strike, as fortunately she was passing through. Local pasticceria near bus stop ideal for breakfast with the local villagers.

This house is unique! And we found all we needed in the house. Comfortable beds, a lovely kitchen, and the terasse with views of the mountains. We did some great hiking and had a swim in one of the natural pools. The bar at the piazza by the church is were the locals meet for an aperitivo around 7pm. We went there every day. We highly recommend this house!!! And Pigna. And we will be back, for sure!
