Great location, few minutes drive from Poppi Castle. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, very busy with locals so maybe book the restaurant. Plenty of parking on site

    The historic center of Poppi is a small part of the larger...

    The historic center of Poppi is a small part of the larger total, but it's interesting, walkable and scenic. We found Google Maps to be very effective getting us to the historic center, but useless getting us to Albergo San Lorenzo. A phone call was required, and the nice clerk cheerfully guided us in real time, out of the center, around the side and directly to the hotel parking lot. It was very close to our "lost" position, but one-way streets had defeated Google Maps and our own efforts. On a Sunday afternoon little was open for a meal but we discovered a cafe directly in front of the Castle and got a good sandwich. The views from there are great.

    Poppi and the area are just beautiful.

    Poppi and the area are just beautiful. The medieval town is a gem and easy to walk. Nearby is the Pieve Di Romena. It's worth a visit. Another great thing..no many loud tourist. Poppi e Un posto meraviglioso
