We loved staying at Villa Aura. The room was spotless with everything that’s needed. The pool area was gorgeous with breathtaking views. The property has been recently renovated with very well thought details and private parking. The hosts are professional and very nice who made sure we have a wonderful stay. Thank you Danilo, Iris and family for your hospitality, we will surely return.

Franca was very helpful with everything. This was one of the most special bookings we have had. The house was full of interesting details and very comfortable. They have a lovely backyard with a view, perfect to relax after a day in the beach. Savoca at night and sunset is magical, we are glad we chose it and its quite close to the main road to Taormina and Catania. Food choices in the town can be a little limited but for a couple of days is ok.

The best view in Savoca. This 1 bed apartment is perfect for lone travellers or even for a family of 4 with small children, as there is a sofa bed. The place is 1 minute walk from the town square and next door to the local Osteria, where they serve delicious dishes. The Town Square was very busy with loads of tourists arriving from cruise ships but this hidden little jem is in a very quiet side street, with the most amazing views of the Mediterranean sea looking towards Calabria. The host and hostess'were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Everything in the apartment is fresh, clean and new. It has just been refurbished. This booking is highly recommend!

The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the little balcony over the town was lovely. The town becomes very peaceful in the evening and early morning which was just magical. Breakfast was amazing, our choice of anything from the bar. The staff were very attentive and it was a wonderful place to stay.

    Beautiful little hilltop village, great location and scenic views with some history. Reasonable number of good dining options but it's not a busy 'resort'. We loved it, but noted that others had commented that there wasn't enough to do in the village in the evenings - too quiet apparently. Probably best enjoyed with access to a car, but limited bus options if on foot.

    Savoca is a lovely village with a lot of traditional charm, beautiful walks and interesting history. We found the people there very genuine and welcoming. The food was delicious. Very easy to explore on foot. A great place for godfather fans but you will have a lovely time even if you’re not interested in the films.

    If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca...

    If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca is the place for you. A little off the beaten track but such a picturesque part of Sicily. Be warned, you can walk the entire town in a morning and pretty much explore everything it has to offer. But if scenery, friendly people and getting away from it all are what you are after you will be hard pushed to find somewhere better. It does get very hot in summer and due to the filming of some of The Godfather here you do get the odd coach load of tourists turn up for a photo of Bar Vitelli and to do the wedding walk. That said, the town is that small that once you have spent a couple of days here you almost feel like a local and if people watching is your thing, then a cold beer and an ice cream in the square can while away a couple of hours. There are a couple of decent restaurants here too, but they are not open every day. Let's just say that very quickly you begin to realise that this slow way of life might not be such a bad thing. There are a couple of souvenir shops in the main square (if you can call it that), but they are not in your face. And if you walk up to the Saint Nicolas church make sure you stop off at Andrea's olive oil shop. All in all, Savoca is a tiny piece of Italy (Sicily) that you won't regret visiting.

    For sure it had to be classified as one of the most beautiful "Borgi" of Italian historic villages (Sicily). The old , quiet village looks like a Nativity crib, especially at night with its dim lightning and charming Savocans! The story behind Francis Copolla's "The Godfather" makes it more intresting. I was very disappointed with the over-priced and money-miser approach of Bar Vitelli...... if you do not sit down and but an expensive Granita .... circa 8 Euro oer person than to just have a photo you are charged 5 euro. But ignoring Bar Vitelli ill-effect approach, Savoca offers wonderful walks, charming atmosphere and scenery, great vinotecas (Wine bars) and places to eat. It is a place to supreme relaxation away from bustling city noise, eventhough on Wednesday a lots of tourists invade the village.

    Verdello Home is a wonderful place to stay.

    Verdello Home is a wonderful place to stay. Excellent new accommodation and gracious, caring lovely hosts. Situated near the Sea and a short distance to the village of Savoca which is charming, has beautiful vistas, and excellent restaurants.

    I picked this area because it has the iconic Godfather...

    I picked this area because it has the iconic Godfather locations such as Bar Vitelli and the church from where Michael gets married in part one, being a huge Godfather fan this place was just perfect, very authentic to Sicily and an absolutely stunning view all over, I would definitely go back to Sicily and 100% stay in Savoca

    WOW. Everything was just perfect. Francesca and Cristian welcomed us warmly, extremely helpful and went out of their way to make us at feel home. Balcony views were extraordinary and our room was very comfortable. Savoca is a short walk, a gorgeous little village with quite some history with the Godfather movie and catacombs (not for the feint hearted). Loved the church bells. Breakfast had a great choice and bountiful with great coffee.

The Lemon House is a beautiful, peaceful base to explore this part of Sicily and you have your very own holiday planner at hand in the form of Christel. Christel is what makes the Lemon House exceptional. She recommends, plans and books the perfect outings, tailoring it to your needs. The breakfast is also excellent!

    You cannot be more in Sicily than there. Although not close to sea it's worth to spent time there. Property itself was well maintained, be prepared for bit of walking as car should be left few minutes from house but it's worth every step. On the corner bakery, the next few steps coffee.
