Location- beautiful surroundings in a calm setting. Convenient for visiting Savoca, villages around and seaside and beaches (10’ drive) and Taormina (30’drive). Accommodation- they have a perfect sized pool with lovely mountain view. Newly constructed B&B, with lemon/ avocado/ palm trees in the court yard, parking possibility, it’s a family businesses with amenities and attention to details for guests. Room- very spacious, comfortable, air conditioned and extremely clean, our room on 1st floor had direct access to the terrace where the breakfast is taken. Breakfast- even though it was mainly an Italian breakfast, more on the sweet side, our hosts were very receptive to our needs and integrated some savoury items for us. Every morning we had freshly baked goodies by the host and as much as possible local sourced food or even fruits from their garden. Staff- the cherry on top of the cake, lovely family with many thanks for their attention to Iris and Dani who welcomed us with local cookies, offered advice on the best places we could have lunch/ dinner and advised us on our touristy questions. True immersion in Sicilian vibes.

Franca was very helpful with everything. This was one of the most special bookings we have had. The house was full of interesting details and very comfortable. They have a lovely backyard with a view, perfect to relax after a day in the beach. Savoca at night and sunset is magical, we are glad we chose it and its quite close to the main road to Taormina and Catania. Food choices in the town can be a little limited but for a couple of days is ok.

This place was super clean and really nicely decorated. The kitchen and bathroom had everything I needed, which made the stay really comfortable. The views were absolutely stunning, and the village itself was so charming—especially knowing it’s where The Godfather was filmed! Eleonora the host was super responsive and helpful. I honestly wish I could’ve stayed longer to really soak in the peace and quiet. Would definitely come back!

The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the little balcony over the town was lovely. The town becomes very peaceful in the evening and early morning which was just magical. Breakfast was amazing, our choice of anything from the bar. The staff were very attentive and it was a wonderful place to stay.

Fantastic, huge apartment with a great terrace overlooking the mountains. It was wonderful to watch the sunset and then the stars over Savoca. It was a wonderful experience to spend the night in this beautiful village.

    Beautiful little hilltop village, great location and scenic views with some history. Reasonable number of good dining options but it's not a busy 'resort'. We loved it, but noted that others had commented that there wasn't enough to do in the village in the evenings - too quiet apparently. Probably best enjoyed with access to a car, but limited bus options if on foot.

    Savoca is a lovely village with a lot of traditional charm, beautiful walks and interesting history. We found the people there very genuine and welcoming. The food was delicious. Very easy to explore on foot. A great place for godfather fans but you will have a lovely time even if you’re not interested in the films.

    If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca...

    If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca is the place for you. A little off the beaten track but such a picturesque part of Sicily. Be warned, you can walk the entire town in a morning and pretty much explore everything it has to offer. But if scenery, friendly people and getting away from it all are what you are after you will be hard pushed to find somewhere better. It does get very hot in summer and due to the filming of some of The Godfather here you do get the odd coach load of tourists turn up for a photo of Bar Vitelli and to do the wedding walk. That said, the town is that small that once you have spent a couple of days here you almost feel like a local and if people watching is your thing, then a cold beer and an ice cream in the square can while away a couple of hours. There are a couple of decent restaurants here too, but they are not open every day. Let's just say that very quickly you begin to realise that this slow way of life might not be such a bad thing. There are a couple of souvenir shops in the main square (if you can call it that), but they are not in your face. And if you walk up to the Saint Nicolas church make sure you stop off at Andrea's olive oil shop. All in all, Savoca is a tiny piece of Italy (Sicily) that you won't regret visiting.

    For sure it had to be classified as one of the most beautiful "Borgi" of Italian historic villages (Sicily). The old , quiet village looks like a Nativity crib, especially at night with its dim lightning and charming Savocans! The story behind Francis Copolla's "The Godfather" makes it more intresting. I was very disappointed with the over-priced and money-miser approach of Bar Vitelli...... if you do not sit down and but an expensive Granita .... circa 8 Euro oer person than to just have a photo you are charged 5 euro. But ignoring Bar Vitelli ill-effect approach, Savoca offers wonderful walks, charming atmosphere and scenery, great vinotecas (Wine bars) and places to eat. It is a place to supreme relaxation away from bustling city noise, eventhough on Wednesday a lots of tourists invade the village.

    Verdello Home is a wonderful place to stay. Excellent new accommodation and gracious, caring lovely hosts. Situated near the Sea and a short distance to the village of Savoca which is charming, has beautiful vistas, and excellent restaurants.

    I picked this area because it has the iconic Godfather...

    I picked this area because it has the iconic Godfather locations such as Bar Vitelli and the church from where Michael gets married in part one, being a huge Godfather fan this place was just perfect, very authentic to Sicily and an absolutely stunning view all over, I would definitely go back to Sicily and 100% stay in Savoca

    This was one of the best accomodation travelling in Sicily. Very clean, spaceous room. Leo, the host, is great. And very helpul. If you are travelling by motorbike and car, this is the place to stay. Very safe and accessible parking. Location is good, you can visit nearby places around ( by car, motorbike or bus/train). Close to restaurants on the shore ( 500- 700m). Breakfast was good, in a cozy space to eat. We travelled by motorbike. Would definately come back.

    Wow. What a stunning view from the balcony!!! Savoca is beautiful and this is the perfect place to stay. We enjoyed breakfast served on our balcony and our host provided an excellent recommendation for dinner. One tip..the shop opposite the front door will sell you a fantastic panini for lunch at a ridiculously low price. Which you can take back to your balcony. Don't go to the bar 30 mtrs down the road,you'll pay double/treble for less.

    Savoca is one of the most beautiful places I’ve even seen in my life and Villa Laura is a real gemstone. Laura is an amazing host, we can’t thank her enough for her kindness. We loved everything about this villa, the comfort, the views and last but not least the cats 😻It’s quiet, peaceful, has an old world charm one needs to experience it to try to describe.
