With "extraordinary" I mean in this case rather "different than expected". Unfortunately, we had not been able to stay at Il Marnich because of a double booking, which the host noticed late, his mail about it we received after we were already on the road (and could not check mails). But he had organized us an alternative night with breakfast for the same price in a charming hotel a little further away. So we drove though in vain an adventurous, winding road to Il Marnich, had to wait until the host came, who explained everything to us and personally showed the 6 km narrow hairpin road back the way to the other hotel. So all I can say about Il Marnich is that it is fantastically located and made a wildly romantic, unique impression, that it smelled tempting from the preparations in the kitchen and that the host was extremely nice and helpful.

Comfort, staff ,meals view from balcony, and parking. Staff was particularly pleasant and helpful. Meals, in house, were a terrific bonus and were excellent. Parking was easy to use, right in hotel property.

    Schignano is a charming town nestled in the hills, offering stunning mountain views. It's the perfect base for hiking and biking adventures in the area. The house itself is cozy and comfortable, with the added bonus of heating—an essential feature for the cooler mountain climate. We really enjoyed having breakfasts in the garden. The host was friendly, communicative, and made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore this beautiful region!

    The hotel is very quaint and is located high in the hills with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. Our room was extremely attractive in its furnishings and decoration. Our dinner was simple and traditional countryside cooking and tasty. Breakfast was simple but good, especially the omelettes which are charged extra.
