A small town with few foreign tourists.
A small town with few foreign tourists. Accordingly, all services are geared toward locals, which was very valuable to me. There are very few hotels in the city, and if you rent a villa or apartment, you will need a car. There are essentially no shops in the city—you will need to drive to get supermarket (about 20 minutes). But on the beach, unlike others, there were only a moderate number of people. The beach itself is gorgeous. There are several pizzerias in the city, but we really liked the one with the best reviews. Every evening we ordered pizza to go. Wonderful place to stay, quiet neighborhood, with two very good restaurants. Nice sandy beach very close to the place with bar on the beach as well. Definitely I would recommend to everyone. Cinzia gave us a warm welcome with food and drinks and Paolo was very quick to respond to any queries we had. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was quiet and very effective. The villa is on a main road but this did not bother us and it was a short drive to Solanas and the Costa Rei which have beautiful beaches.
