We were given room 14, which had a fantastic view of the city. The bed was comfortable, the room was pleasant, and the bathroom was clean. There were celebrations with music in the city, but closing the window made it non-disruptive. The owner served the coffees one morning; it was great talking to him and learning more about the castle. Thank you very much!

Appartment is fully and thoughtfully equipped with all the things a guest might need. The host was very responsive, kind and had excellent recommendations on local food options and also other things. The location is great and the view spectacular. It's a 10 minute walk to the old town and there's also a free bus option 200m away. Convenient parking in front of the two-appartment house. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Super clean, stylish and comfortable, quite unexpected for the old and charming town of Pitigliano. We loved our stay here. We had room 101, which has its own separate entrance (if you want) and a lounge room. Pitigliano was one of our fave places in Italy and La Bartolomea Suites was the icing on the cake. It’s in the heart of the old town, there’s good coffee and free bottled water too! Love.

The town is very sleepy and feels surreal, as many houses appear to be uninhabited. The cathedral and the church on the main square are quite special and examples of Romanesque architecture. There are a few restaurants in the town, which is surprising given its size. There is plenty to see in the surrounding area.

Sovana is a gem!

Sovana is a gem! It's hard to find a village so unique, so well-designed, and so well-preserved. In one day, you can also visit Sorano and Pitigliano, the other two villages built on tuff. Sovana is beautiful on the inside! The other two are impressive on the outside. Even the access roads are spectacular!

Sovana is a small tuff village nestled in the countryside, among olive groves and vineyards. It offers the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the scenery and the beauty of the place. It's close to many other beautiful villages and offers wonderful walks, especially along the many beautiful cave roads. October is also a wonderful month to visit these places.

The hotel felt like a family home that had opened its doors to us. The gardens and pool were a dream and the village was stunning -great restaurants and it’s small enough not to get too overwhelmed with tourists. The hotel was the perfect family place for families, solo travel, romantic getaways - as long as you want peace and relaxation. The staff were incredibly kind and customer service was beyond exceptional. I’m in love with the place and i’m already planning my trip back…..

The staff were very, very accommodating. They replaced our hair dryer, cafe at night, directions and reservations. The grounds were very well maintained. The maze is short but fun. Sovana is a quaint and quiet town that is the perfect size to walk with Gelato. The breakfast was exceptional, best of our stay in Italy.

This little hotel is super cute and very clean. The hosts are lovely and welcoming. We tried the pizza and were not disappointed- it was delicious! Breakfast was great. Plenty of cake so we saved some for snacks. I cannot fault it.
