I had a wonderful one-night stay at the Convent Boutique Hotel. The hotel is a beautifully converted convent, complete with two charming cloisters. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast served in the former refectory was delicious. On top of the beautiful setting and great service, the hotel is also conveniently located in Susa, just a short distance from the Frejus tunnel, making it a perfect stopover on a journey from Turin to the French Alps. I highly recommend the Convent Boutique Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and unique stay.

We had a wonderful time and the Hotel really made us feel welcomed. We didn't intend to book a hotel with no wifi but it turned out to make the 3 days we spent that much more special as we explored the area. There is wifi in the restaurants in town and Susa has great signage to get to all the wonderful ruins. The mountains are all around you and the French Alp towns are very close for a day trip.

It's very convenient, close to free parking behind the station, our room at the back was quiet, bed was big and comfy and facilities worked well. Has just had a bit of a makeover and paint job so was bright and cheerful. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice, nice coffee. Short walk to restaurant and bars. It's worth ambling through the winding streets on the other side of the river, up to the arch of Augustus and the (tiny) amphitheatre. Doesn't take long - do a loop.

We had a lovely warm welcome from all the family. The location is stunning with a beautiful view down the valley. The whole place was immaculately clean. Dinner is a must-all the ingredients either from the farm or bought locally. The wines made at the farm were very enjoyable and there was plenty of choice. We bought some to take home. Be warned that the roads are very narrow but its a mountain village and so to be expected. All the locals we met were polite and friendly. Would we stay again? Yes.

    Susa is what I'd call an authentic town.

    Susa is what I'd call an authentic town. They haven't gone too far down the route of turning it into a tourist centre. We spent our time walking in the surrounding countryside and wandering through the narrow streets., which we enjoyed. We felt safe walking around Maybe not for everybody, especially people wanting to go to a lot of museums.

    Valter, the host, is extremely helpful and friendly, he makes you feel completely welcome. The property is really nice, spacious and comfortable with loads of character. It's well equipped with a good kitchen, and nice seating areas inside and out. Val de Susa is beautiful. The village is small and quiet, just what you'd need if you want to relax and wind down, but only 10 minutes from a supermarket and the town of Susa. It's set on the mountainside with hiking trails all around. We couldn't have asked for more.

    I stayed at Convento Boutique Hotel while hiking along the Via Francigena. The hotel is an attractively renovated monastery, with a beautiful ancient cloister. The rooms are nice and reasonably comfortable, although a bit bare. The location is good, close to the historic centre of the town.

    Everything. Location, on site bar, staff very friendly. Loved this place as we were bike packing and this hotel is very well set up for bikes with an enormous area in the basement for motor and push bikes with cleaning and servicing facilities. Breakfast was great.
