The couple who run this adorable apartment are two of the loveliest people that I have met. The love of their village, history and the joy that they can deliver through this apartment is everywhere from the doormat, to Jim Morrison, the washing machine- absolutely every detail is beautifully presented. We liked everything about the experience. Patrizio is a great communicator and a lovely guy. Access to the apartment was trouble free. There is a supermarket a few hundred metres away The apartment was clean and well maintained and equipped with everything we needed including a washing machine and drying facilities.

Beautiful little town, it's a shame that when we passed...

Beautiful little town, it's a shame that when we passed through on Monday, the amphitheater and the church of the Madonna del Parto were closed. On our way, we also had Tarquinia, and the necropolis was closed as well. So, we shouldn't go there on Mondays. The Cerveteri museum is also closed indefinitely, so we were told. Luckily, the necropolis was free to visit, and we went on the first Sunday of the month.

We had planned to start visiting Tuscia (which requires more time, we'll be back) starting with these three days based in Sutri. It's a very green and beautiful area, waiting to be discovered. We visited the places we had planned: obviously, they look much better in person!

The archaeological site is remarkable, the town retains a bygone atmosphere but lacks maintenance and, despite the large parking lot, is full of cars parked everywhere. The cuisine at Cantina del Drado is excellent.

Sutri's old town is a truly delightful experience, perfect for an evening meal on the town square and, for example, La Sfera d'Oro. It's like stepping into an old Italian film from the 1950s. We were on our way to Tuscany, and this was a great stopover.

Aside from a stroll through the center (the Roman arch, fountain, square, cathedral, and a few other small churches within the walls), we didn't see much... The area within the walls is very quiet. The vast archaeological park with its caves and ancient amphitheater is in a sad state of neglect...

We stayed in Elena’s suite and the moment we walked in we decided to stay another night. The host is a wonderfull lady and she really cares about her guest. She’s still learning english but she’s doing a fantastic job to explain how everything works, she even texted us some locations we could visit. If you’re in Sutri you have to stay in this suite!

Very friendly and helpful owners who went the extra mile to make our stay exceptional. Nothing 8was too much trouble. Comfortable and beautifully decorated room, with tea and coffee facilities in the entrance hall. Convenient location near the amphitheatre and archaeological site, and just a short walk to the centre of Sutri.
