We stayed here for 3 nights and the place exceeded our expectations. The apartment was spotless and cleaned daily. It had great facilities and is perfect if you want to cook your own meals. This place is simply brilliant! It looks modern, stylish and like it was done up last week. The rooms (I had a deluxe room) are beautiful and spacious, very comfortable bed, lovely view, plentiful and tasty breakfast and above all the most helpful team of staff I have encountered in Europe, ever. There's a bar / restaurant that does pizza, burgers and a bit of pasta, all good quality and the place gets frequented in summer by hikers, bikers and other active types. Lovely sauna (available 16:30 - 20.00 in summer), space to store bikes and you can charge your electric vehicle should you need it. Absolultely loved this place.

Rooms seem newly renovated and they're extremely comfortable. Plenty of wood, spacious bathrooms and great balconies (must be fantastic in the summer). We went for half board and couldn't be happier with dishes and selection of sides. The hotel is family run and everyone tries their best to accommodate your needs. An absolute gem. Ample free parking and convenient ski room. We used the car to reach the ski resort around 1km away.

Our view was not great and the bathroom door did not work...

Our view was not great and the bathroom door did not work and the shower has the toilet in it which was kind of strange. We loved walking on the trails in the back and enjoyed the views and benches to rest. We ate there and it was very good. They offer various outdoor seating which is nice as well. They did not serve any aperitivo snacks with our drinks which could have been a nice touch.

Trafoi isn't a real village, but rather a small cluster of...

Trafoi isn't a real village, but rather a small cluster of houses, without even a single shop. This means the typical evening strolls of the Dolomites are out of the question, and you'll have to travel several kilometers to get anywhere. The Stelvio Pass area is beautiful, but it doesn't offer the comforts of Val Gardena and other more touristy valleys.

2023: There are many empty houses and hotels in Trafoi...

2023: There are many empty houses and hotels in Trafoi compared to my stay in 2018. There's no restaurant to be found, unless you stay at the hotel with one. It's also not accessible by reservation. It's better to stay in Prad.

The Goldseeweg trail from the Stelvio Pass to the Furkelhütte mountain hut offers a superb view of the Ortler mountain; the Naturatrafoi visitor center is worth a visit; the Hotel Bella Vista has charm and very friendly staff.

Trafoi is a mountain village with several beautiful hotels...

Trafoi is a mountain village with several beautiful hotels and apartments. It is ideally located for skiing on Passo Stelvio, there are hiking trails right in Trafoi, some for families, some more challenging. And you can also go mountain biking around Trafoi or you can go down to Prado. We drove everywhere, but there are also buses between the villages and to Passo Stelvio.

Spacious room, saunas of various types, common lounge area with books and plays and beautiful view, self-service bar, tasty and various breakfast buffet, very friendly staff, all the spaces were clean and tidy. Dinner can be ordered in the "main" hotel Bellaavista about 1.5 km away in Trafoi, and there is a shuttle bus organised by the hotel. Bike storage.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at; perfectly placed if the Stelvio Pass is in your plans. The views are stunning and we had one of the nicest meals in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and if I come back to the area I’d definitely want to stay here.
