Amazing setting, in the middle of nature, just outside a hilltop village. The pool was amazing, the room fabulous with vintage pieces of furniture, the building itself dates from the 1500's, a huge space surround the premises. They have a little cozy restaurant which serves amazing food, part of it produced by the hotel (the company) itself. We stayed there for 5 nights, it was crazy how time passed. Definitely in need of a car if you stay there (17km away from the centre of Florence) because the route comprises multiple hills, no public transportation available. All in all, a fantastic place. Will definitely return.

Stunning & breathtaking hotel & garden. We love ❤️ this place. We enjoyed the whole experience with a very very beautiful and peaceful garden 🏰 in the backyard and the natur around the hotel, absolutely STUNNING !! John the owner of the hotel, was very dedicated to make our stay absolutely perfect. And IT WAS !!! PERFECT !!! We will definitely return to this pearl. Our room was perfect, clean and very big. Everything was perfect !! The food was perfect, the room was perfect, the garden stunning, John & staff very very professional !! WE LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR STAY IN THIS PEARL ! Friendly staff above all. Restaurant was nice. Bar area really good with snacks to buy Wine was good and much better value than UK Rooms were very clean with good shower. We could not have asked for anything more really. We did not have car and staff helped with transportation - local knowledge.

The restaurant and its menu were really good. Even if it was away from Florence, we liked the location. The bus stop was just in front of the accommodation. It was also great to have a car park on site. The staff were polite and friendly. The room and the bathroom were very clean.

It was nice charming property surrounded by beautiful...

It was nice charming property surrounded by beautiful landscape. And there are good places for hiking nearby . Staff was helpful , and tried to cater all the needs . However connectivity with public transport is not widely explored by management . At 5 Kms there is railway station Vagilla which connects directly to Frenze SVN station . If hotel can provide transport from Vagila railway station it would be helpful for more tourist coming without car . As taxi service from Florence is quite unpredictable and very expensive .

Vaglia is an area with enchanting views of Tuscany.

Vaglia is an area with enchanting views of Tuscany. The village itself doesn't offer many services; we didn't find a bar for breakfast, a small grocery store, or a pharmacy. A car is essential. It's a 25-minute drive from Florence, 15 of which are along narrow but beautiful roads.

The receptionist wasn't very cooperative regarding our...

The receptionist wasn't very cooperative regarding our request for heating, as there was no heat in the cold room where we stayed. He simply showed me some blankets. However, the woman, clearly his wife, was a bit more welcoming. Aside from the dated and somewhat cold atmosphere, the room was adequate.

The Giardino in Pratolina is beautiful.

The Giardino in Pratolina is beautiful. Small shops are nearby. It's a lovely place for a stroll. The access road is somewhat difficult due to its partially poor condition. The view down to Florence is stunning.

A village deep in a valley between two hills, with ribbon...

A village deep in a valley between two hills, with ribbon development, a main road, and a railway line. No immediate facilities for "pleasant tourist activities," perhaps a bar/tabaco and one or two pizzerias. The main road bypasses the village, so it's fairly deserted, in other words, not very inviting. It's still typically Italian, as we often encounter it.
