We spent two peaceful autumn days here and really enjoyed our stay. The area around Bologna is calm and full of charm - golden leaves, fresh air, and absolute silence. The B&B is located in a small, quiet town - perfect if you’re visiting Bologna by car (only 20–30 minutes away). The building feels new and well cared for. Everything in the room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The high wooden ceilings give it a special cozy character that makes the place feel both elegant and warm at the same time. Breakfast was nice and varied enough, and since we were the only guests during our stay, it felt very private and relaxing. The only small thing we missed was having mosquito nets on the windows - the air is so fresh that you just want to open them wide! Overall, it’s a lovely, peaceful place to rest and recharge. We wish the hosts continued success and hope to come back one day.

The room was spotless and well-equipped, with no flaws or malfunctions. You can truly feel the heart and budget invested in the renovation of this place. For us, Bologna felt a bit too loud and crowded, but Castel San Pietro Terme was a perfect choice — cosy, with a charming old town and plenty of places for delicious local food. It was our fourth time at Palazzo di Varignana. The whole structure is very nice, immersed in a wonderful garden on the Bolognese hills, overlooking the countryside. The room we were assigned was very spacious, the bed is comfortable. The SPA is nice and has lot of pools and sauna/ other features where to relax, so if there is a lot of people you can find your peaceful spot anyways.

They have many pools, some regular hotel pool style and some infinity pools. The latter are undoubtedly beautiful! The spa was great and the room we booked was so spacious! It had a massive garden, shame we didnt use it. Some of the staff were courteous. It was a great stay!
