Amazing place away from Aqabas noise. Staff was extremely friendly and helplful. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable, breakfast good. We also went diving with them and really enjoyed that.

Great little family run hotel looking down on the magnificent Dana National Reserve. For a nice price you get a decent room with an awesome view, comfortable bed and a rain shower! The hotel is also family owned and run, resulting in a very friendly and personal experience. The food is also to die for! The hotel is perfectly reachable by sedan and has a couple parking spots. They can also arrange tours and transport for you if you need it. All in all, would certainly recommend!

We had a lovely stay with a lovely host family . The whole family is so welcoming and caring . Walid organized a perfect hike ( Wadi Ghweir ) for us and after that we could relax in his beautiful garden . We booked breakfast and dinner , everything was fresh prepaired and tasty . We had a great time in an amazing nature . Would like to come back another time .

About four hundred years ago, the present village was built. Over the years, many families in Dana village have moved to the nearby village of Qadissiya in search of better jobs, schools, and housing....

An excellent place to stay in the beautiful old town of Dana. Can’t recommend this place enough. Awesome location, excellent food, lovely staff, sociable with other guests. Great access to hikes in the area. I came for 1 night and stayed for 4!! Thanks to the Dana Tower team!!

I have stopped to write this as village life unfolds around me. A woman is sweeping the hotel entrance, and a young boy smiles and practises his English greetings as he rides his donkey down the path which leads from the old village. The sky is cloudless and the February temperature ideal for walking this beautiful area whether a short self guided walk to the village spring, or a 16 hour hike with an experienced local guide. We arrived at the Dana Gate Lodge at 2am yesterday morning. Communication was easy. The manager Hazem Nawafleh is fluent in written and spoken English and replies promptly - through him we had arranged a transfer at midnight from Amman airport and an onward one to Petra. His team is friendly and efficient and everyone is keen to make our experience special. The hotel leads a small but expanding local tourism co-operative supporting 90 people in the local community. Set in the spectacular scenery of the Dana Biosphere, their welcome and hospitality is warm, engaging and authentic. The rooms at the Dana Gate Lodge are simply furnished and clean. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are exceptionally good and served in one of two main rooms in the adjacent building. Staying for two nights allowed us to explore at our leisure and enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the Wadi. If you are expecting European standards and expresso coffee you won’t find it here. This far exceeds that - offering unspoilt beauty at its best, with kind, funny, knowledgeable people proudly inviting us to experience the best their culture and environment has to offer. We loved it here.

We stayed for two nights and had a lovely experience. The surroundings are beautiful, with amazing views and lovely hiking tracks. The village was quiet, with tiny shops around to buy snacks, coffee and juice. The staff was super welcoming, serving a plentiful breakfast buffet. We went for the dinner, which was also very nice. Staff are super helpful and happy to organize trips and provide recommendations on best sunset spots.

The associative-cooperative project and the location of this accommodation must be taken into account. It is not a "hotel" in the classic sense of the term. The project is to rebuild the old village and to train people through the activity and financial revenues. Having read some negative comments on the hotel service, I would like to highlight this fact. The cuisine is delicious and plentiful. The welcome and the team are wonderful. Very pleasant stay in an authentic setting, I recommend.
