A simple cabin with everything provided. Shino is helpful, and knowledgeable on Kumano Kodo trekking. She provide us insightful information, and it did help alot. Her café is located nearby bus stop which is very convenient for us to catch the bus right after the breakfast. Not forget to mention about the meal provided, yummy and delicious. Shino also help us arrange for daily luggage transfer, and very responsive on any issues arising. Kudos to Shino.

The friendly owners, nothing too much trouble. The location was right at the acoop great for grabbing some dinner and stocking up for the next days walk. The building had been in the family and they have refurbished it to a guest house. They left some great features from the old timber interior, incorporated furnishings to reflect themselves like the silk kimono pattern that Maha's mum made to replicate one she wore as a child and the photos of their family and dog. We would stay again. They are dedicated to making sure your stay is your favourite in japan

Very clean and with a nice sanded wood smell. Our rooms opened up to a view of the town and the mountains surrounding Chikatsuyu. The pleasure to open the windows in the sunny summer morning and enjoy the open air was absolutely unmatched. There are musical instruments in the common room, which is also very tidy, and nice smelling, yet homely.

We were looking for a place to stay to explore nature, beaches and peaceful japan after staying in the big cities. This place is really nice, is brand new and is well thought through. We were staying as a family of 5: one on the couch below and 4 in the spacious sleeping room upstairs. The shop in the village (3 m walk) had all the necessary groceries, and the bento boxes/fresh fish is really good. As others have said: all amenities are there, the host is super responsive and goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. As it is in a quit residential area be mindful of neighbours but trust me, once here you will instantly become very relaxed

It felt so so good to arrive here after the walk from takijiri. It felt like heaven lol! It has all that you need, they really thought everything. So convenient, so clean, so comfortable. I would absolutely recommend ! Just next to it is a supermarket and some restaurants. I would come back if I can. Too bad we only stayed one night.

Difficult initially to book in as only had the QR code for one room and we were booking in for two. Our fault. We let the youngest person deal with the booking in. Took about 15 minutes but then okay. We were blown away as thought it was a upmarket lodge as we walked by. The photos dont do it justice as nearly walked right past it. Beautiful. Food was great. Breads heated up and jam were fine for the start of our day. Bonus to find some free beers and juices in our wee fridges.
