The location was great with great scenery. Ten minutes walk through snow trails to Happoone ski lift. Ten minutes walk to village for rentals & restaurants (Ooyokuri restaurant*****)! The staff was excellent and accommodating of late evening arrival. Inside & outside onsens were very good. Breakfast was great with selection & taste. Twelve (7adults, 1teen, 5children) give it a big thumbs up! It was end of season, so shops and restaurants were closed, snow was a bit slushy for me, good for kids. This is a fantastic ski resort. We love Goryu and Iimori. There are several options for skiers and snowboarders of different abilities. The ski school is excellent. It is not too busy, and there is little to no queue for ski lifts. We are coming back.Guest review byYi MienHong Kong - 10.0

We stayed near Iwatake Gondola and skied Iwatake, Tsugaike...
We stayed near Iwatake Gondola and skied Iwatake, Tsugaike and Cortina. My favorite of the 3 resorts was Tsugaike. The queues were relatively quiet and had more terrain. The Hakuba Valley shuttle will get you between all the resorts but it can get quite busy. ps. If you are staying in Iwatake and are travelling to Nagano with luggage (that you can manage easily) see if you can catch the direct bus rather than using the Hakuba Valley shuttle to get to the Happo Bus Terminal.Guest review byPeggy GAustralia

It's close to many great cafes and restaurants, ski rental stores, and convenient stores and you can access them on foot. You can also walk to Happo-One ski resorts on foot. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a very charming lodging which provided comfortable stay for all of us. It is possibly the best location in Echoland - close to cafes, ski hire, best restaurants, multiple bus shuttles and convenience stores. Takao went above and beyond all expectation. Very helpful for resort recommendations (and discounted tickets!), dinner reservations, transport and general chit chat.
