This was wonderful location to stay. The both kindly hosts and the family were so lovely and engaged in our satisfaction. The phantastic food and the great chance to join breakfast and dinner together was unique. We enjoyed the time in oniwa very much !!

We were greeted immediately with umbrellas and a smiley guest executive when we arrived at the hotel car park. We had a nice welcome drink and they made sure to give us a good introduction of the hotel facilities before we headed to our room. The receptionists were always ready to greet us with our keys when we arrived back at the hotel from touring the area. They have a beautifully maintained onsen (indoor and outdoor) with super silky waters that feel great on the skin. The rooms are quite spacious as well and they provide us these beautifully printed cookies of Arita porcelain designs in the room as well as green tea leaves as part of their service. We appreciated the nice hygiene amenities in the bathroom. The hotel is on a pretty steep hill so it is hidden away fr the Main Street but there are many eateries and tea shops within walking distance. Bonus - they are partnered with another nearby onsen hotel and we could use their onsen facilities for free as guests. We had a great time staying there.

This was the best hotel I stayed in with my family this year! The professionalism and preparedness of the staff was exceptional frankly. But the human kindness with it was touching. My wife and daughter got lovely gifts and the next day my son as well: heartbreaking frankly. The quality of interior design, especially the tea lounge was enjoyable. The onsen had lovely details, an amazing view over the town, and complementary ice-creams the kids enjoyed. This was probably the highlight for my family during our Japan trip, due to hospitality care.

It's a shame that access isn't particularly convenient.

It's a shame that access isn't particularly convenient. It's difficult without a car, but it was a distance I hesitated to drive from Kansai. Perhaps due to the effects of COVID-19, there were few rental cars available, so I couldn't make a reservation in Fukuoka and had to use one from Nagasaki Airport. There are more flights to Fukuoka than there are (and they're cheaper), which is great, but it's difficult in many ways. It's a tough decision to make between time and money. The pottery tour isn't very extensive, so I was able to see quite a lot in just one or two days. If I'd stayed multiple nights, I could probably go to Arita and Hita as well. I'll definitely do it next time...
