I booked ocean view and show evidence to your staff, but she said she can’t understand Chinese. I don’t know what to say! I ordered 2 night with ocean view for celebrating my birthday, that was so terrible!!! The hotel price is not very cheap compared to others with no ocean view! She even asked me to pay much more for upgrade!!! The room is very small and bed is hard! And room soundproofing is worse! And the floor in Osen is slippery, I ffell to the ground!!! I highly recommend that guest can choose others!!!

There were so many things to enjoy while staying at Ibusuki Shione. The best one of all was the very kind host and owner of the apartment. Amazingly, when I arrived early to check in, a friend of his who was working on construction nearby helped me check in 😆. I think that speaks a lot about this place. The locals are friendly and kind, and will go to great efforts to ensure you enjoy Ibusuki. My host texted me with many great recommendations, and he responded quickly to all my questions. The apartment was very clean, had a calming aesthetic and a wonderful view of the ocean. You can rent a free bike very easily from the host and you'll have a great time exploring the immediate area. This place is specifically attractive to people who want to relax, enjoy scenery and participate in the culture of an ocean-side town. You will not regret booking a stay here.

The room was clean and we enjoyed "onsen" bath in our room. There were also a lot of complemental snacks. Since W had two big luggage, it was difficult to carry them to the third floor. Beside that, every thing was perfect.

This trip was truly special.

This trip was truly special. Thanks to the hotel's consideration, we were able to have a more perfect time. The view of the sea from the room was truly overwhelming, and the open view instantly relieved the fatigue of the day. The interior of the room was also clean and luxurious, making it very comfortable. In particular, the friendly service of the staff was the most memorable. Ibusuki is a wonderful location with great food, great...

Ibusuki is a wonderful location with great food, great beaches and even better people. On first look it may look like it has had it’s high tide many years ago, there is so much potential and there are projects in place to rejuvenate and inspire. A new beach is being created to capitalise on the existing beautiful white beach a 10min walk from the station. Also! World famous award-winning ramen just 200m from the station at Menya Jiro (New Yorkers may already know that name). Enjoy the unique to Ibusuki volcanic sand bath and cross the street for a simple and tasty meal at Angel or grab some tasty treats at the store downstairs. Sadly, the best beaches are private at overpriced and stuck-in-the-80s hotels so stay at Kokoro-no-Yado for a reasonably priced spa experience with a walk across a sandbar to the island of Chiranjima. Then hit the beach I mentioned earlier and bring a parasol or anything for shade and enjoy the sparkling water. Visit Ibusuki, walk around and see what it was and can be. Support Ibusuki. I think you’ll agree it’s worth your time.

The food at the restaurant in front of the station was delicious. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable. I think it was Aoba. This is actually my third visit to Ibusuki. The first time was 56 years ago, when I was a student and traveling around Kyushu with a friend. The second time was about 10 years ago with my wife. We went to Satsuma Road in front of the station, and this time, it was with my wife. Both times, it's inside the Sunaburo Kaikan. It's now called Sunaraku. The previous two times, the coffee I had at the restaurant/coffee shop in front of the hall was delicious. When I visited this time, the place was vacant. I'm 77 years old and live in Chiba Prefecture. My second son has lived in Kokura for work for about 15 years, and we often go to Kyushu.

It's very easy to get around and visit the surrounding area.

It's very easy to get around and visit the surrounding area... the beaches, sanctuaries, lakes, tea plantations, Mount Daimon, and of course, the sand baths. We had a wonderful time outside of the tourist season.

I came from the Kanto region to see the manhole covers with Pokémon designs. The flight from Kagoshima Airport to Ibusuki often takes longer than the flight from Haneda Airport to Kagoshima Airport. Public transportation within the city includes trains and buses, but both are quite infrequent. For access, there's the "Limited Express Ibusuki no Tamatebako," a highly ingenious and highly recommended train. However, be aware that all seats are reserved and may sell out. All of the manhole covers with Pokémon designs mentioned above, except for the one with Leafeon, are within walking distance, making walking around a good way to get some light exercise. The gourmet food, including the black pork, is excellent. I'd definitely like to try the warm tamaran donburi and miso-braised black pork cartilage at Aoba, a restaurant near Ibusuki Station, again. The hot springs were relatively warm and very pleasant.

Medium sized modern hotel on an elevated position overlooking the sea, mountains and Kaimondake. There is a swimming pool set in a pretty tropical garden, and a path down to a sandy beach. We stayed room only so can't comment on the meals, but the staff and the facilities were top notch. There's even a yoga room with video instruction on a loop.

A wonderful traditional ryokan. The staff are lovely and very helpful. They will pick you up and drop you off at the JR station if you travel by train. Food is exceptional. Great location with a 3 minute walk to the sandbaths. The futons were very comfortable.
