Check in was super easy without any hassle. My room was large and spacious. The shared bathrooms and showers were super clean. The location was perfect, just as you land from the ōmishima bridge. The Island is beautiful.

This place is great on the Shimanami Kaido, fan of architucture will love this place. Everything was beautiful to the details. Food there was beautiful too! 'Hipster' fancy and not cheap but worthe its while for sure! Single rooms have amazing views but the dormitory is as comfy and nice - the view on the tree is a nice gesture- Still need earplugs if you are sensitive to sounds. Staff where nice and helpful and down to a little chat which is always appreciated.

This was the perfect place to rest from the bike tour. The host is super friendly and kind and will inform you about everything! The room that we were in was so cozy and I felt a home-kinda-vibe right when walking in. Super comfortable and the host really makes sure that you get everything that you could possibly need. Amazing place! Amazing people! If you’re looking for a place to stay for 4 or 6 people - look no further. We’ve been travelling for 25 days in Japan with our family of 4 and this has been our best experience. We arrived after riding our bikes all day and were greeted by the hosts with hot orange juice, tips on where to get food and even got a lift to get take out as they informed us the best restaurants might be closing soon. Our kids even got a present in the morning. Everything in the room is thought out - the bunk beds are bigger than normal with power outlets. There are Imabari towels. The showerhead is glorious. There is a lot more space then the pictures give away and you wake up with amazing sea view. If you’re doing the Shimanami Kaido or are looking for a place near the beach - stay here.

Taka and Tonari were super helpful to explain everything about the guest house and they even called the fish restaurant nearby to make sure they could prepare a vegetarian dish for me. During the morning a very small earthquake occurred and Tonari immediately came over to see if anyone got scared. Everything was clean and neat. We also appreciated the house rules because even though all guests were staying in dorms/semi private room it was always quiet.

It's a very nice traditional house with beautiful garden and great view on the town (especially during sunset). The host is very helpful and just a very nice person to spend some time with. The whole place is cozy and has a very chill vibe. I recommend this for people who like to meet people during their travel and who also like to experiance staying in a family house. There is a very nice shared kitchen area for people to meet. During our stay the guests were really quiet in the evening, so there was no problem with the noise.

After a full day of cycling across the Shimanami small islands, we finally arrived at the guesthouse. I stood at the entrance near the door and said "hello" a few times, but no one came out. At the end of the room, I saw someone peacefully napping. So, I went out for a walk while waiting for the sweet nap to finish. After about 20 minutes, I came back and greeted again. A woman who looked around 60 years old came out and welcomed us with a smile. After setting everything up, I sat down in the living room and made a cup of black tea. There was some aroma placed in the cabinet, so I asked the hostess if I could try it. After she introduced the aroma, she urged us to soak to the onsen right away. The sunset over the bridge I saw during the onsen was truly amazing—a kind of magic hour. After the onsen and dinner, I returned to the guesthouse, continued enjoying my tea, and tried an aroma called "眠" (Sleep). In that moment, I experienced complete peace, as if time had paused. After spacing out for about two hours, I went to sleep. The night was a little cold. To my surprise, the next morning I saw my sleep score was 97—something I had never reached before. I felt full of energy the next day. It’s really unbelievable—the sleep quality I had there. I still haven’t been able to replicate it. Before leaving the guesthouse, we had a conversation. She said she had worked in Tokyo for about 20 years. After her parents passed away, she moved here. She honestly said there were too many people in Tokyo and she didn’t like it. She prefers the peace here. At that moment, I felt she had shown me how beautiful peace can be. And I realized that, in part of my heart, I’m the same as her. We said goodbye to the hostess and told her, "Stay healthy. We’ll come again."
