Outstanding experience. Best place we stayed in during almost a month of travel. Comfortable beds, nice and spacious room, everything amazing. We took room with a private bath and foot bath because we didn't know what the stance about tattoos was in this onsen, and I am pretty heavily tattooed. Apparently, it's not a problem! We still stayed in a private bath, but it was nice to know that there is an option.

Wonderful huge hotel complex with the perfect ambient everywhere. The breakfast as well as the dinner were traditional and very tasty. The Onsen area is perfect to relaxe and the stuff where always there to help us.

Super clean and spacious. The host are very nice and thoughtful young couple. I needed a pet friendly for a reason. They even prepared and provide a pet feeding bowl and pet wipe etc to care my dear pug. I will recommend this place to anyone. The accomodation is located 15-20 minutes walk from Kameoka station which is probably about 20 min from Kyoto. Also communication is great. They will responds very quickly.

I left my passport, money and my wives jewellery by mistake in the safe and we checked out.The staff delivered it to the station which was exceptional and made our life much easier. So many things to like! This was by far the most spacious room with a view, that we had in Kyoto. The beds were comfortable, the room had many amenities such as pajamas, slippers, kettle and teas, mini fridge, tooth brushes, combs, soap, shampoo, etc… what I was impressed with is a personal hand written note was presented in our room. Near to travel an and buses, walking distance to main attractions. The staff at the desk were very accommodating, helped us navigate to certain places we wanted to see. Just a wonderful experience.

Extra friendly. I accidentally double booked a room and they were able to correct it without us paying the cancellation cost. Free breakfast. Clean, good location if you want to visit Arashiyama, and the moss temple. Good connection (a direct bus ~40 minutes) to Kyoto station. Near bus and train station. They even had a restroom for leisure. It feels that it’s most for people who travel with pets since there are a lot of dog treats and dog theme.

    Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Enjoy the rafting, enjoy Arashiyama and take the train back to Kameoka. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. A perfect day.

    I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas.

    I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.
