The onsen was fantastic. We enjoyed the family bath that night and took a quick dip in the morning. The beds were very comfortable, giving us both a good night's sleep. It was great to lounge around in the supplied yukatas and winter jacket, taking in the spectacular scenery of the river. Although we can not speak any Japanese, we were able to communicate with the owner.

Very nice accommodation, very friendly and helpful owner. With Google Tranlator communication was easy. Very tasty dinner and breakfast. Quiet location, good to relax on the pilgrimage.

This place was brilliant. The hosts were so friendly and we loved the coworking space next door to the guesthouse. We were able to catch up with a little work as well as get a great night's sleep. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and there were many shops nearby. Tomaruku was an excellent choice and we would love to return one day in the near future.
