Perfect location close to Morioka station. Convenience store (7eleven) located at the entrance of the hotel which is super convenient by the way.. The view was really nice from the 11th floor. I recommend.

Only had 1 and a half days in Morioka. We visited the Morioka Handicrafts Village. We enjoyed having lunch there too! The amount of crafters today was less when we visited 12 years ago but we still had a great time there!

Morioka is apparently famous for different types of locally...

Morioka is apparently famous for different types of locally produced noodles. I ate at two different restaurants, both were tasty with the usual exemplary Japanese customer service. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from if that is your thing. Morioka is a pleasant spot with mountain views from the central city. I visited in winter there are a few nearby skifields. I imagine it would be gorgeous in spring and autumn.

Morioka has some really charming sights and locations.

Morioka has some really charming sights and locations. Make time for the History Museum, the 2nd floor is 300 Yen entry fee but well worth the price. The walk through the gardens around the castle museums is also lovely. There are some good shops in the Fezan mall that is in the station building.

We stopped in Morioka on the way to Niseko.

We stopped in Morioka on the way to Niseko. It is a small Japanese city with stunning views of Mt Iwate. Our main purpose was to visit friends, so we didn't do much touring, but Morioka is a lovely smaller city, very walkable, with an active city centre of restaurants and many interesting temples. It almost feels like a mini Kyoto while driving around. We enjoyed Wanko Soba, which is famous in Morioka.

I go to Morioka every month or two, while it's a city it doesn't have the crowded or bustling feel. You're also close to nature. The botanical gardens and lake are a short drive as well as Mt. Iwate for climbing. Morioka is also a go-to for Wanko Soba. I've never had a bad meal in Morioka. Overall, Morioka is a good vertical slice of Tohoku and different from the image of Tokyo that saturates people's view of Japan.

The cherry trees were still blooming in the park and it was beautiful and there were stalls selling lunch. The view from the bridge to Mount Iwate was magnificent with the flowers along the river. Since it was Sunday, many shops were closed. It was easy to get around by bus.

awesome hotel, simple but close to the station and it has everything one would need. I stayed only for a couple of days but had no issues. it's also located pretty close to the river, which was lovely to walk along in the evenings. The only thing to keep in mind, is that they have two relatively close locations, and I ended up at the first hotel initially, but they kindly forwarded me to the correct building which was a 4min walk down the street

The location was perfect. Right on Chuo Dori, which was right at the doorstep of the Morioka Sansa Odori Festival (between 2-4 August). The hotel was also close to eateries, convenience stores, and approximately 15 minute walk to the JR Morioka Station. There is an Onsen on the 10th floor, with complimentary Yakult and icy-poles. Wi-Fi was super quick. Rooms were reasonably sized.

We chose this hotel because it is next to Morioka station. When we arrived we realised it was actually adjoining which was a bonus. The hotel is very new and modern and exceptionally clean. We noticed that there was a section of rooms for female guests only with separate security access. Value for money given the location and facilities was fantastic.

Hotel location is super convenient, right in front of JR Morioka station east exit. Room is very spacious and bed is very comfortable. Very impressed with the amenities and also there is daily free drinks available to hotel guests. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Morioka. You won't regret it.
