    I'd strongly recommend taking the time to ensure that the accommodation you're booking is close enough to any specific areas you wish to visit. Saga itself, is simply a township without too many attractions other than a museum, a castle and a couple of short, pretty walks. If you want to see something further afield, such as Arita or Imari (located in the Saga region), be prepared for quite a bit of travel. Even places to stay near these areas are several kilometers away.

    We walked to the old part of Saga City and discovered the historic Nagasaki Highway or Sugar Road filled with special shops that families have run for generations, the cultural museum and tours of historic homes! There are also new businesses created by younger entrepreneurs so there’s a youthful feeling as well.

    We did not book the hotel with meal but there are 2 diners at the lobby floor. Highly recommend the Japanese restaurant and if possible, book the course set in advance. The food is beyond perfection and the price is reasonable. We booked the family room and it is by far the biggest hotel room we stayed in Japan. Bath hall is also impressively huge. People from the town would come here to take a bath and meal. very nice experience.

    Short walk from train station The rooms were bigger than stated in description, or it has good feng shui, because we could open two suitcases in the corridor, it had deep space there for keeping it. In other APA hotels I was, rooms were smaller Cheap washing machines with detergent

    The location is great. You can see the JR station right from the window. There's convenience stores and a supermarket with the tax-free counter in 5-minute walk. It's good for customers like me who didn't buy the hotel breakfast. The elevator is fast. Room is clean for sure.

    Room isn't spacious but decent for a couple. There is a nice small river area beside the hotel and we enjoyed a very short morning walk there.there is free parking right across the street from the hotel. Good shower with strong water pressure and consistent hot water.
